Sarah, next time add to everything you have in the glaze..a can or glass bottle of Coke.. it's very good in the glaze.. I also use one tooth pick.. the cherry gets the tooth pick and it holds the pineapple right where the cherry is.. I hated stabbing myself every time I glazed so I found another way..

When I was a kid, my mom would coat the ham in maple syrup and then brown sugar which would make a delicious crust. Yum yum.

My mum would put English mustard on the ham, then brown sugar, then she would put the pineapple rings and cherry on the ham, so did my great-grandma, always yummy. Sara's version looks pretty good too. I will have to try maple sugar, we have four sugar houses in my town alone!

This reminds me of Christmas dinner. Thats how ham was baked back in the day. I catch the hams on sale around Thanksgiving and Christmas and buy at least 2-3 so I can pulled them out for Sunday dinners, Easter and so forth. When we've ate all we want from it, I carve everything else off and freeze some in bags to cook in with vegetables, some in bags for sandwich meat. I save and freeze the ham broth when I bake a ham to make ham rice(aka greasy rice) and then of course I also wrap the bone up in cling wrap-then tin foil and the I put it down in a huge freezer bag to save for vegetable soups or macaroni tomato soup. Nothing goes to waste and you get many good meals from all of it. Love watching your videos Sara I love to cook and watch cooking. Its my therapy!

Thank you for sharing! I make homemade glaze too. I make mine the exact same way. I just use less brown sugar and add about 1/2 can of lemon lime soda pop. I use the other 1/2 can of lemon lime soda pop in my pound cake.

Looks delish Sara. I like spiral sliced bone in ham. Like you I like the bone in to make ham and bean soup. I top mine the same w pineapple, cherries and cloves. I I glaze mine with almost the same ingredients as you, adding pure maple syrup to my brown sugar rub/ glaze. Thanks for sharing.

@@melaniestewart18 Depression takes a lot of different forms. But I can't figure Sara as depressed. Hoarding they say, is caused from loss. Yet, many people suffer tremendous losses and never become hoarders. Idk what Sara's underlying problem is, but she needs help.
