Once this young buck watched this mix tape, I linked the Voyager mix which he thankfully reacted to a day or so later. Watching the current generation discover what we watched in person is just so entertaining!!! Every season if anyone tried to say Jordan had a weakness, he would work over the offseason and come back top of the league at that skill. No weaknesses. I also recommended him look up the Reign Man, Shawn Kemp (I went to high school with Shawn, so I got to watch people's brains break in real time back in the day. 🤣 )

One thing Odont think Ive heard anyone bring up…MJ NEVER wasted time dribbling the ball to death. He had an otherworldly ability where he expended the least amount of energy while creating the quickest and most effiecent opening. The man has hours of highlights and I have rarely seen him dribble more than 3 times…ever! No one else was even close to having this kind of skill…smart, efficient basketball. There will never be anything like him again. The older I get the more appreciative I am of living through his playing days. I never thought any superstar has so much as caught a glimpse of him way up on top…alone. I will say that Iverson had the kind of pure talent and unreachable/unlearnable qualities of Michael. He just never spent the time developing and absorbing the game enough. He is the only other player I can think of with a similar ability to just always get to wherever he wanted to. Larry Brown even admitted once that it was a shame Allen didn’t ever listen to coaching much…because it would have made him the greatest ever. All that being said…Iverson does not come close to being in MJ’s level. We won’t ever see anything like him again. Respect your elders you juvenile delinquents!

This comment is addressing a question from your 50K subscribers video. I’m from Chicago, IL born and raised and still resides. When Jordan announced his return with that I’M BACK was like a shot of adrenaline to Chicago. Life was good, the ship has been righted and we were back on the championship track because we knew that Jordan wouldn’t give us anything less. No matter how many great basketball players passed through the Bulls organization since his retirement basketball has never and will never be the same here. There was a thick air of excitement and anticipation when you knew there was a Bulls game on and when not if they made it to the playoffs was another level of excitement building. I’m proud to say I’m from the city where the GOAT played basketball. Sorry for the comment being long but I wanted to convey what Chicagoans were feeling during that time.

He hasn't passed fundamental level of some things, like shooting for example. It's okay to have a favorite player. Mine has always and will always be Penny Hardaway, but I've never used the word "greatest" to describe him, or said "My GOAT". That's just weird haha. I think something the youngans don't appreciate nearly enough is how Jordan's technique was designed to counter a smothering defense. Right here in most of these highlights, you can see why Three Ball wasn't dominant at all back then. Most little dudes would've been destroyed without a nasty front court to take the pressure off. But Jordan was an actual ninja on court, slippin thru the gaps like Ali or Sugar Ray Robinson.
@TheRealMindCrime11 күн бұрын
Its so true! Thats why by his later days he had developed a counter attack for any defense they through at him. It came easy for him by then

It’s crazy because I’ve watched Jordan through his whole career but every time I watch these type of highlights, it just gives me goosebumps because the man was out of this world. I think 6-0 is overrated in the sense that its talked about at nauseum and it downplays everything he did, 6-0 is the result not the journey. He's doing all this in games not practice, not shootaround in games where people were coming after him he's basically like "Nah I'll just go around you" I could watch this every day and be blown away. We also see why people downplay his game because they know video tapes don't lie you watch Jordan and it obvious he is the best person that ever played basketball period.

I saw this one. And I give him props for having an open mind, unlike most people in his age group. With that, he showed the main reasons we don't listen to LBJ Stanzboys. Didn't know Mike was a ten time scoring champ. Didn't know he won DPOY and scoring title in the same season. Didn't know he is the only two guard in the top five in steals and blocks. Didn't know he was the first player to record 200 steals and 100 blocks in a single season. Etc. etc. etc. The point is, THEY DON'T KNOW, but we're supposed to listen to their opinions as if they do. 17:43 is the single greatest layup of all time. MJ vs 4 defenders and it all starts off of a fundamental triple threat stance and ball fake dismissing the first defender instead of what you see today where the dribble is started as soon as the ball is caught. MJ was the most athletic and the most fundamentally sound in his execution. That's why he could come back twice with declining athleticisim and still be so effective (he is the oldest player to score 40 and 50 pts).
I'm so glad you're reacting to Groovy 2.0! I noticed others in the comments have been watching him recently, and it's great to see young fans like him showing the humility to recognize the evidence. There’s still hope for the younger generations. If people like him start getting big on media, maybe more young fans will come to see the light...or the AIR in this case ;-) It's not that we're crazy or trying to elevate MJ beyond what he deserves, it’s just that he genuinely was that great, it’s not our fault, and it’s not our fault that no one else even comes close. I actually complimented him on his reaction, he also reacted to The Best Goat Comparison by Danger Productions, where he acknowledged that MJ is the GOAT, even though his personal favorite is LeBron and I respect that because he explained it thoughtfully and with a lot of humility.

Great reaction to a reaction! "He's going to see a buttload of MJ." 😂 Please do more reactions of LBJ fans or anybody who reacts to this mixtape. It's fun to watch this guy's reaction. I have seen this mixtape 50x and I still react like that, so imagine watching for the first time. Got to love those two-handed blocks. My favorite is the one he did on Mercer when he was 38 or 39 years old. Crazy. A lot of LBJ fans don't want to lose face, but you can see that they are blown away, as we all are. One LBJ superfan, after the mixtape was over, actually said, "Lebron has done all of those moves." 🤣😂 Those guys feel they have to remain loyal to LBJ, which is completely illogical. This guy's reaction is real, and he caught many of MJ's moves that most don't because it goes by so fast. But as he is watching, you can see on his face that he's thinking "Lebron who??" Lol

The reason I like Groovy is that his mind is not closed. He's open to learning and that's a very good trait to have. The thing I try to convey to LeBron fans is how infuriating and frustrating it was to be a fan of any team other than the Bulls. We weren't all fans of MJ, but he sure as hell had our respect (and some fear when he came to town also). What most LeBron fans don't get is that this mixtape, yeah, a lot of it is playoffs, but the sumbitch did this action ALL the time. He had no mercy, no compassion on the court. He was the predator and our teams were the prey.
