Such an underrated plot twist. Gives me chills every time. This is one movie that should be punished for spoilers lol. There's obvious signs leading up to it but coming into the movie completely ignorant of the plot is the only way to see it for the first time.

If you’re familiar with any old “the guy getting messed with is actually the baddest guy around” movies; it was a dead giveaway away from the first 10 mins he was gonna be ‘the man that comes around’.
@chrisdallaire44572 ай бұрын
@@dustinlerch9272I totally agree that there were hints that he wasn’t the kind of old man you got away with messing with, but that fact that he’s the kid was a wicked little twist that made me smirk from ear to ear!

If Tim Blake Nelson is in it as one of the main characters, you know he's gonna be a badass. The man excels at playing the quiet looking, unassuming, total badass.

The plot twist was given away in the first five minutes of the film, if you know anything about the old west. The name on the wife's grave gave it away.

It wasn't until 1952 or so that historians discovered that Henry McCarty was Billy's real name--until then it was always William Bonney--so no one then knew him under that name. We do now, but a lot of movie-goers probably didn't know coming into this.

There are so many clues (especially to the well-read) as to who Henry really was but when the worm turns you're as surprised as his son was at the revelation. Not since Remember (2015) have I been so impressed by a twist reveal.

(WILLIAM.H.BONNEY) a.k.a (BILLY THE KID) was one of the absolute most bad ass and meanest of all the outlaw gunslingers in his time when he was in his prime. And he was so fast with a gun a person literally couldn't keep track of his speed and that's why he was shot in the back because nobody could face him in a fair match and live to tell about it. And what I think is really freaking awesome is that my grandpa on my dad's side of the family actually met (WILLIAM.H.BONNEY) I grew up listening to stories that were told to him from my grandpa. And from what I've been told is that (BILLY THE KID) was a person who u definitely did not want to fuck with especially when it came to guns u would most definitely die no question about it. But (WILLIAM.H.BONNEY) a.k.a (BILLY THE KID) was and still is a hell of a legend among legends same goes for (DOC. HOLLIDAY) and (WYATT EARP) and many more.

This man had plenty to lose. A son, for instance. He had a whole lot to lose. "Don't push people because you never know who you're fucking with" suits this better. They thought they were pushing around a skinny old man, and instead it turned out to be the devil in disguise.

the best movie I have seen in ten years and I am not a fan of westerns. I love the supposed underdog showing up the confident lawless one''s. I knew early on who he was as I suppose most people did. This film should have gotten as much attention as TBN's starring in Buster Scruggs. It just showed up on Amazon one day and I thought I'd take a chance on it same as Bone Tomahawk several years ago. This was outstanding writing: not a wasted moment. More importantly the cast brings that writing to life. You go through my things again...I will *crack* your *crust* and boy didn't you feel those slaps? Mr. Nelson was more unnerving in this as a mild-mannered farmer as he was playing a comic outlaw.

This reminds me of my srtudies on John Wesley Hardin. He was actually good at surviving and got better as he went along as a young man. I have a DA pearl handled .41 Colt like the one he used.; It is balanced like part of your hand, like pulling your hand out of holster, aiming your index finger and firing. I stumbled up the colt by accident , sitting in my grandmothers basement after she passed. It had a broken spring early in its life and they just put it on a bookcase and left it there. They were notorious for parts breaking and very complicated shooting action. I need someone to rebuild it for posterity. I have then new spring, but it looks like a sliver of metal that has to be expertly filed down to bend and flex. Beautiful old pistol with nickel plating and birds eye pearl grips.
