This is my first video of yours and I'm so glad I found you :) I was trying to find female youtubers who talk about movies and there was a disappointing amount, but I love old Hollywood so I'm glad I found this video. I really need to watch more, I think my priorities from this list are Casablanca and To Have and to Have Not. Since you like old Hollywood you should check out You Must Remember This (you might have already) it's a podcast about old Hollywood the host talks about different events and actors and it's so good!

@@StoriesForCoffee I am excited. It really is amazing to see older films and see how much the industry has grown. I am noticing the boldest movies were made in the 1960s so many bars were pushed and taboos were shattered.

The thing I liked best about How to Steal a Million was the concept of the safest place to be after a robbery is in the police station. Nobody would expect you to be there.

My favourite film with Marylin Monroe is How To Marry A Millionaire. Casablanca is also one of my favourites of all time. I recall hearing in a documentary that when filming started on Casablanca, the actors weren't told how the film would end.

OMG that is amazing! I didn’t know that!!

@@StoriesForCoffee Also, I'm very curious about the origins of the phrase "We'll always have Paris" because the same line was used in the 1939 film Ninotchka, which is an amazing film with Great Garbo.

Where’s is part two? I know I’m so late .. two years late but I’m new here, just found this video and I’m looking for old Hollywood films because I’m getting more obsessed with anything at that time but really don’t like black and white films I wanna see color, vintage color if anyone knows what I mean lol. Do you or anyone here know any amazing old films which are in color? I’d appreciate it. Thank you. 💜

I didn't like Vivre sa Vie a whole lot when I first saw it. But over time it's risen on my list of favorite Godard films. I still prefer others, but I'm glad I like and appreciate it more, now- especially because at the time and even now Godard is one of my favorite directors. Just a suggestion, if you have other foreign films you're going to mention in future parts, I would clarify that/if it's not "Old Hollywood;" I feel like that would be obvious since you mentioned that Vivre sa Vie is actually a French film, but there are still foreign films that are Hollywood produced. Again, it's just a suggestion! I love How To Steal A Million! The first time I watched it I was surprised at how little happens in it, yet it's so entertaining and still a rewatchable film! Casablanca is how I got more into film! It's all because my AP English Lit teacher my junior year of high school had a cardboard cut out of Humphrey Bogart as Rick Blaine in his classroom and one day someone finally asked who it was :) (Also, I may have mentioned that in a previous comment on one of your videos, now that I think of it.) When I was little The Wizard of Oz VHS I had was one of my most played. But I didn't watch the movie as much as I watched the feature that played after the movie was over.
