spring time always fills my heart with gladness
when the scent of blossoms fills the air
that's the time when all the birds are mating
seems that happiness is everywhere
in that little old homestead

Not to be confused with the Australian novel with the same title by Steele Rudd. Comedian pianist Billy Edwards entertained troops appearing in first war productions of the foreign play of the same name by Denmam Thompson and his song was released to accompany screenings of the silent film version
