It’s amazing that the general Iranian populous in 1979 overthrew a regime that gave them more freedom than the one they were just about to install! As an aside, I’ve had “Baroona” in my Spotify and iTunes playlists for years!

Beautiful people. I liked the music. Very nice. Iran sounded like a wonderful place to be, at one time. You have snowy mountains for skiing and a sea for beach parties and family picnics. You had a modern city that looked clean. Such a shame religion had ruined all that. I hope to one day visit your country. I would even like to visit now. The government and its religion now is not an issue. It's the people and the place that I would like to see. I'd be respectable & wear proper head covering.

In case if you don't know,100 years ago all the writers and highly educated people in India knew Farsi or Persian language,today no one is interested to learn this language, Because of extremist Islam Iran has lost its charm and glory,but i love Iran im saving money from past 7 years to travel to Iran

In my opinion the problem of the Shah was that he tried to imitate Mustafa Kemal of Turkey, without realizing the big differences in circumstances. Mustafa Kemal didn't face opposition in his quest to modernize and westernize Turkey, because he saved his country from destruction. On the other hand the Shah in Persia was not seen as a savior or a hero like Kemal in Turkey. His family reigned with the help of the British and then with the help of the USA. He was right in wishing to modernize and westernize the country but not all Iranians agreed with him in this and he faced opposition from the start. The fact that the Islamic revolution from 1979 made the Shah regime to collapse so quickly proved that the majority of Iranians at that time didn't agree to the westernized of the country.

Are these Western models or Persian models? Or a mix? I ask because some of these people look very European - not in and of itself a surprise, since Europeans and Persians share Aryan ancestry, but nonetheless Persians also have mixtures from Middle Eastern groups from prehistory. But I am curious as to what extent there are Western/European models present in these advertisements.

@TabbyAngel2

They are moving to the west because the Islamic government oppresses them and suppresses their freedom . Iran went back over 100 years when the Islamic Republic replaced the Shah. It's very sad that some people even compare the two!
