I'm pretty sure this game brainwashed thousands of kids that played it in the 90's. Some of these songs have literally been stuck in my head for the past 20 years, for no reason at I'll find myself humming one now and again. Likely due to the associations my young brain made when playing these very challenging levels over and over and over until I could beat it. If this game had been pumping a different language into my ears instead of music I could've probably been fluent by the time I finished the game. Classic!

ilalla I still have my copy, box/instructions/sleeve... it's one of my few real treasures from my childhood. Ahh the memories. IMHO the hardest part of the game was flying to the sky as that darn bee, UHG I hated that part and still do.
@mischitary10 жыл бұрын
You're 100% right. The music for this game is just so damned good. I mean, there's not much of it, only 20 tracks in the game, and the loops are pretty short on all of them, but there's just something about this game's music that's incredible.

I’m that way with Guerrilla War’s OST considering how that game was generous enough to give you unlimited continues, hence why it got played so much.

Just in case some people didn't know Little Nemo Dream master was based off of the animated film that came out in 1989, which was based off of the early 1900's comic and plays. All I can say is if any of you haven't seen the film you're missing out on a classic, in best words to explain how great this movie is.. it's like classic Disney and Hayao Miyazaki made an amazing love child, it has thre animation style of Miyazaki, and the way the story and music is it feels like one of those epic disney movies from the 80s - early 90s.
@yusakug9 жыл бұрын
+Mega Sega Fan Funny you should mention Miyazaki, as he did work on an early version of the film at one point of the 80s, and eventually quit, calling it the worst professional experience of his life. This was a very troubled film, and it's a miracle it even got made. That being said, I think the movie is beautiful, but the script kind of stinks. Nemo in the movie is one of the most boring protagonists I've come across in an animated film, and usually does nothing but say "yippee" or "oh no..." over and over again. (Seriously, they could make a drinking game out of how many times he says those phrases during the film.) As a huge fan of the Nemo comic, they got the look right, but the script should have been so much better. Still love this game, though, and I'm glad Capcom took a chance and brought it over here even though the movie had not been released in the U.S. at the time the game came over here.
@daytimesky9 жыл бұрын
+Mega Sega Fan Fun fact, the movie's script is written by Americans, and the art and animation is done by Tokyo Movie Shinsha (TMS). Earlier on, Studio Ghibli made a 4-minute Nemo short, but with a more anime-inspired style. It wasn't made into a full movie.

+Daytime Sky I feel that more cartoons should be made this way nowadays- the script, story, character designs made by us, but have the Japanese do the overseas animation to it. Unfortunately, Japan thinks our cartoons are too idiotic and stupid nowadays to have any overseas animation done to them.
@daytimesky8 жыл бұрын
Jeremy M I'm sure Japanese companies would be happy to animate US cartoons. But Koreans cost less, and can mimic anime style, so they animate The Legend of Korra and things like that.

One of the rare occasions where a game is made based on a movie and it turns out to be very good. Musically, visually, and of course the gameplay was really neat. Before we had Kirby donning the abilities of his enemies we had Little Nemo /wearing/ enemies. I liked the movie well enough, but the game will always have a place in my heart, it was so unique and fun when I was a kid. Definitely one of Capcom's best NES games.

The first NES game I ever had - I actually got it before I received the game system. I was about 5 years old and I remember being distraught because I didn't have a Nintendo and wouldn't be able to play it. Then, I was given a NES about 5 minutes later. I remember feeling weird about it because I hadn't heard of it and it looked too "kiddy" (I was 5, I know!). This brings back a lot of memories.

Bought this when it came out in 1990, and still feel it's one of Capcom's underrated classics. If only this game had a better license, like maybe if it were one of the Disney games Capcom was doing at the time, it would be better known today. Still, I do remember searching out the old Little Nemo comic strips after playing this game, and discovering the artwork of its creator, Winsor McCay - whose art I still cherish today.

Nightmare King Battle is the type of theme song that makes you want to avoid the cherries for as long as possible to continue listening. The danger was not in the enemy's force but the enemy's ability to charm you into allowing it theoretically infinite amounts of time to end you. However that also worked against the enemy because you were laser focused on successfully perpetuating the theme song to further indulge in its greatness.
