Didn’t mention the lack of stress due to no financial worries, not having to clean, grocery shopping, etc etc Old money ladies look great because the don’t usually have to juggle running a household, work and looking after themselves.

@@mermaid95x My comment was meant to be a light hearted take on the beauty secrets of the old money part of society, I know everyone has varying degrees of self care and beauty standards. But we are speaking here of the general rule. I haven’t seen many old money or high end women who look like they do a 9 to 5, cook and clean, raise kids and have a social life at the same time.

I spend almost nothing to look "expensive". home workouts, stay out of the sun, moderate diet, drink plenty of water, excellent hygiene + moisturizer, 15% tca peels, deep sleep, simple diy mani/pedi, diy cut/color, flat iron or big hot rollers + serum, high end thrift finds that still have tags on 50% off day, luxury perfumes I find online from collectors that sell them for almost nothing, gold plated jewelry with a coupon at department stores.. you can really look put together on a budget if you want to!

Fabulous. I had a dermatologist tell me years ago that if you want to stay young, it’s not what you do but what you don’t. Don’t drink alcohol, don’t smoke, don’t tan, and don’t drink brown liquids. Brown liquids contain tannic acid which is used to turn cowhides into leather. I’m 68 now with great skin. You sound like you will have it too.

Perfecting a natural look is the key. Nothing loud or drawing attention but everything should be as perfect as possible. For example, short nails with clear polish but perfectly groomed. No acrylics, sparkles, or artistic designed nails. Just perfectly groomed is better.

Although beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder, it's important to remember that no specific style is superior to the other. As long as you feel confident and put together then that's all that matters.
@MamiKnowsIt
@MamiKnowsIt 18 күн бұрын
@@alishag1662Some styles are better (“superior”) to others. Everything and everyone is not equal. No matter how much soft/neurotic people like to think being delusional is kind, everything and everyone is on a hierarchy.
@alishag1662
@alishag1662 18 күн бұрын
@MamiKnowsIt Yikes! What a warped and shallow way of thinking. I have never seen any benefit in belittling others based on their style, as such behavior only serves to boost one's fragile ego at the expense of others and is often a manifestation of one's own self-loathing tendencies. Despite all the things wrong with the world, luckily, we're not obligated to care what other people think about us.
@MamiKnowsIt
@MamiKnowsIt 18 күн бұрын
@@alishag1662 1. Nobody is belittling any style, no specific styles were mentioned. You are projecting your personal insecurities onto what I said. I mentioned that this delusional that “nobody is better than nobody” or “no things are better than other things” travestied of kindness is just that, a delusion. 2. Nobody is obligated to care about other’s opinions, but everyone who lives in society does. The only people who truly don’t care about other’s opinions are those with antisocial disorder, popularly known as psychopaths. 3. Look, you (and not just you as an individual but everybody who preaches this feel-good but empty relativist discourse) live in cognitive dissonance. If you actually believed other people’s opinions don’t matter you wouldn’t be on social media, and you wouldn’t care to answer the original comment or my comment in the original comment. You wouldn’t feel the need to school the original commentator with your moralizing bs. You did that because you believe the belief that everybody and everything is equal or has equal value; because of such belief you scolded me for holding as contrarian belief to yours, and by doing so you proved my point. You recognized everything is not equal and some things and better than others, in this case, you think your belief is better than mine. If you don’t believe anything is better than anything, in other words everything is relative, your own belief that no one is better than no one and no style is better than other is not as moral as your think it is, that would be just another relative and meanless belief that is equal to all the other beliefs that exist, no better than mine. Do you get what I mean? I am not attacking you, I am saying that what you just said makes no logical sense, people just say it because it feels good. It’s cheap phony “kindness”.

@@MamiKnowsIt My goodness, society has put a number on you. Somehow, after saying all that, you still managed to misconstrue my comments, which were strictly about style and fashion critique. Regardless of your level of comprehension skills, I want to clarify something here. 1. When I referred to individuals who criticize others for their style choices, I was not singling out any specific style. I was speaking in a broader, more general context. My comment directly responded to the insinuating remarks made by the original commenter and your statement, 'Some styles are better than others.' 2. Again, in the second portion of my response to you, I was speaking in the general context of fashion. This means that people don't have to care about other people's opinions on their styling choices. For example, Prince and Iris Apfel received tons of nasty feedback on their style, but they chose not to care and are still loved for their talents and unapologetic style choices. 3. Please be careful with your raging assumptions. I'm a woman of color in America, and I know all people are not equal. Although inequality benefits the rulers of society, it does not mean you have to support its every move. In case you didn't know this, all of the hierarchies in society are all made up and just another masterful plan to keep humans insecure and fighting while capitalism and all of its atrocious symptoms stay alive and healthy. This also applies to fashion and any biases and judgments people may have about it. Fashion is not just about clothes, it's a powerful tool for self-expression and identity. When we judge someone's fashion aloud or make insinuating comments, we're attacking their self-expression. This is part of society's oppressive game that we don't have to play. My initial comment was a reminder that there's no need to criticize someone else's style preference because it's okay to style yourself however you please and still be 'groomed.' We all have our style preferences, and that's perfectly fine. But who are we to criticize other people's style or aesthetic choices and make them the standard? It's okay not to like something for yourself, but it's another thing to put it down when referencing others. Fashion is about individuality and self-expression, not about conforming to societal or someone else's standards. 4. Social media offers more niches than consuming people's opinions. There are notable journalism and history platforms that post facts, which I am a large consumer of, so I'd still be on social apps commenting and being entertained, lol.

I have fabulous luck in buying quality, classic clothing made by Talbots. J Crew, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers. etc , at Goodwill. The stores donate their clothes to them at the end of the season. I dress very well for very little. Consignment shops in wealthy neighborhoods are also great. Goodwill or Savers in wealthy neighborhoods are key to looking great on a budget.

Here is kind of a random trick for always smelling good without much effort. Chlorophyll drops or capsules taken correctly has been excellent for me with body odor. I used to have awful BO and as soon as I started taking this supplement it went away in about two days. I don't even have to wear deodorant even when sweating! You can for extra protection but this is the best base for smelling good/clean naturally to then layer of pretty scents!

I tried that but it did absolutely nothing for me and I took it for a few months. And even better hack for most people is using a benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid acne wash for your armpits and groin area. These washes decolonize the bacteria which is what causes the body odor to begin with. I personally use a salicylic acid body spray mist and love it. I learned this from a dermatologist thankfully

It’s a pretty penny but it last a long time and it’s worth it. I’m still getting asked for ID when I go to a bar or when buying wine. Juicing cucumbers is so great for your skin. What you eat is so important because the skin starts from the inside and comes to the top. Thank you again for another lovely video. By the way, I always wonder about your brow treatment. Actives aren’t bad. A lot of people just overuse them and burn the snot out of their skin. I use a 4% benzoyl peroxide wash, my prescription retin-a, vitamin c, and niacinamide. But I do NOT use them all at the same time. I only ever use 2 max at any time and my skin is glowing, smooth, and my acne and scarring are finally healing.

We need plenty of the old money to get the treatments you just named 😁 when it comes to teeth it’s about the genetics! You had great teeth to start with, some of even after spending many thousands will never have a perfect smile, unless having jaw operations at a young age

The red light mask is not worth the money, look for the device with irradiance of around 110 mW/cm2. Also, actives are a must but too high concentration may cause issues.

Are you taking any fillers, because your face muscles aren't moving snd it looks do plastic?
@timothytruelove5014
@timothytruelove5014 Ай бұрын
@monvici how exactly do you 'take' fillers. You 'take' supplements such as biotin for stronger hair, skin and nails. And what is 'do plastic'? Is it the fabulous new way to look younger and more beautiful by not taking notice of negative nobodies and doing yourself a favour and watch their inner ugliness destroy the uninteresting exterior and inability to at least correctly type their unimportant insults aimed at people who are simply enjoying showing others how to enrich their lives. At least Ciara is giving people inspiration and ideas, working for her money by providing her own personal failures and successes. And so if she is taking a commission as is clearly written at the end of her 'products used in this video', then more power to her as it takes time and an understanding of what she wants to achieve with her videos, which are packed with her research and innate abilities to charm and beguile, while entertaining an audience of likeminded people who are simply trying to improve their appearance and mindset. That's what she does and it's what she does brilliantly. But what exactly do you do, @monvici? What do you do? No, no... that wasn't a question.

Should glycolic acid be aerosolized? I really dont think it's a good idea to be putting GA in a spray bottle.

I just found your channel. I love the tips and the added clips of hair routine. I've been thinking about investing in the Dyson system and going back to my natural... it's not as dark as yours but I believe it wld be a lower maintenance and healthier routine for my hair.

Loved the information! Thanks. I wish you had posted links to Amazon for the products. Easier for US :). Also have you thought about a video regarding what you do for tanning because I noticed the spray mist bottle said it is a tanner bottle. I always get streaks
