When I was about 6 my dad would let me steer the car in the late 60s all around there alot , all the old stop signs were still up , lots of lamps , pretty overgrown though , dad and grandparents born there , both worked stints in the mine , dad had brakes fail on a big dump truck and had to bail out . I will mention Hibbing high school was part of the moving deal and is one of the most beautiful schools ever , big chandeliers and geogeous wood and marble and such , nice parks too , all from mining wealth at the time and south Hibbing had its benefits. Nice job .

My mother grew up in Buhl MN, about ten miles from Hibbing. I was in Buhl in 1966 and again in 1996. Buhl has really shrunk in population, even more so than Hibbing. My great-grandfather Robert Murphy was the mining supervisor at the Buhl open pit mine in the late 1800s/early 1900s. My mother had fond memories of growing up there in the 1920, and 30s. My grandfather a Norwegian emigrant also worked at the Buhl mine!

Home of Bob Dylan. My dad went to the old Lincoln school there. grandma and gramps house was moved. old iron minors. Great video

My dad was born in hibbing Minnesota and lived there untill he was I 9th grade then he moved up too Aurora Minnesota

Great place. I've walked dogs there, played disc golf, caught Pokémon in Go there. Greyhound Museum is just south and is supposedly haunted.

It’s called the Hull Rust Mine, not Rust Hull. And the viewing platform was recently moved from the end of the North Hibbing road to the east side.

Cool video. I'm from Hibbing and have been my whole life. My dad's house on the south end of town used to be all the way in north Hibbing.
