Used to walk these streets several time a week. Such beautiful architecture. While waiting for a bus, I used to gaze at the tops of the buildings at all the fancy brickwork. It is ashamed that the new buildings today are so plain. Men took pride in their work. Todays buildings are so boring.

Is that houses where the old shawlands arcade used to be. Lot of changes and not all for the good. Nice photos. Thanks Garry

Amazing photographs. Shawlands cross has hardly changed at all. Still very recognizable. The police box and shelter at, what is now the Granary, I seem to remember them.
