Old Rusty Part 3 , Removing the Cabin

Work has started on old rusty, in this video I am removing the cabin from the chassis and getting ready for lots of panel work.

I like this model of the Citroen truck, and first saw one here on KZbin. It is quality built and the series went on for several decades - don't know the exact years. They re-used parts such as the chassis rails, head lamps?, wheel rims, both axles etc. This saved on tooling, and anyway if parts worked well, why re-design them. Enjoying watching the restoration, merci.

When I seen your David Brown tractor I I went "wow". I woukd love to own a DB tractor as their sound is so unique. Looking forward to the restoration of old rusty 😉👍

Mike Barton , txs Mike. I could have stopped the tractor yes. But turning the wheels on the truck is easier while its rolling. And the tractor was in a very low gear with lots of space in the front.

use a guard on your grinder. I recently witnessed a fatal accident when a grinding disc broke and a piece penetrated his chest and severed tha aorta. I will not watch a video where elementary safety is not observed.

Does Citroên support you? If not try to contact them for the missing parts, at least for the alternator.

No they do not, I wish... but they may not even remember this model. I might go full electric/battery

Peugeot do have the same model cars and tucks, useful for the spare parts. Citroën have an old cars & trucks museum. They'll probably guide you in the restoration guiding and recomendations.
