Fandom story time: So when Monty died I joined a thread about it to pay my respects. I told them I felt their pain because one of my favorite creators, Dwayne Mcduffie, died in 2011. He co-created Static Shock. They started to yell at mean calling me disrespectful to Monty saying “ Don’t talk about someone he died before Monty. He doesn’t matter..” I told them I was just trying to sympathize with them and show them that they aren’t alone in this situation. But the main thing that got me to leave that thread is when they said . “ Shut up about that N-word”. Which was even more disrespectful because they called Dwanye I slur when I was being respectful to both people!

One piece of drama that you didn't cover was Bmblb, an extra song that Jeff Williams, the show's song writer, released with the Volume 4 soundtrack. He had written it during some downtime while he was injured and unable to produce the full versions of some of the soundtrack's songs. It makes heavy references to the Bumblebee ship, so of course, this sparked a war. One side said this song confirms that Bumblebee will be canon and both girls share a love for each other. The other side pointed out that this song was a last minute addition and that Rooster Teeth apparently was not consulted about it prior to its creation. Blake's voice actress, Arryn Zech, posted a series of tweets, telling everyone that, while she does ship Bumblebee, the song was not consulted over or given official approval... and once again, poor Arryn was harassed and had to delete her tweets.

You see I understand *wanting* a canon gay ship in an action packed series. Hell if we look at the Avatar series personally, I actually the Korra x Asami ending more than Mako and Korra(I also wasn't a big fan of the Aang and Katara ending in last airbender). And I love Steven Universe and that's honestly the gayest show I've ever seen. But unfortunately I don't care for all the "evidence" Yang x Blake should/will be canon since it feels to on the nose on how cliché romances are done in action/superhero movies, but even if it did become canon I'm not gonna care that much. In the same way I didn't care for most Superhero movie romances. I just hope whatever ships do become undeniably canon, enough time has past where people can learn to act civil. However I fear with all the small smiles here and there and passing glances between these two only to lead up to nothing people will act insanely more irrational than ever. Part of the reason why I'm more sympathetic towards Blacksun was because before Volume 3, Sun was the most hated character in the series and it felt so undeserved through the massive fallacies to "disprove" Sun and Blake's compatibility. Which honestly Sun and Yang feel like the same character anyway And even with the whole "I want a gay ship" mentality, when Ilia revealed her feelings to Blake I was shocked by the massive amount of idiots going "OMG Ilia tried to kill Blake's parents, why the hell should she be redeemable" when that makes absolutely no sense. Adam gave the order, Corsect and Fennic carried out the assassination, and at no point did Ilia even remotely try to cause any harm to either of Blake's parents nor did she have the drive to. This fandom is fucking insane. Blake's one of my favorite characters as I find her increasingly fascinating the more this series progresses and I could care less about who's gonna get her pants and it pains me that, that's all some people see in her. Basically some random unimportant character just confirm someone's bias on who she *SHOULD* fuck. SMH, I almost want RT to kill off her character without any of Blake's ships being canon and make Whiterose canon, because this is getting ridiculous

The Brennan you see there's a *WHOLE* lotta wrong with what you said and here's why. This is going to be long, but I'm going to *PROVE* Ilia is redeemable beyond a shadow of a doubt, since a lot people don't seem to understand how redemption stories work. First off, redemption stories are not based on what a character does, (I can name over an abundant of characters who have done far worse things or had eviler mindsets than *anyone* in RWBY and have had redemption stories that make them the most interesting characters) but mostly on their motivations on what got them there Now you say, "if I can't have you no one can" well that's about as furthest from Ilia's motivations as you can get. First we have to look at the White Fang as a whole and to do that we go back to Volume 1. Where the White Fang was known to be peaceful but was not getting any results, Sienna takes charge and they start seeing results. I'm not justifying their methods as they are short sighted, but that is the reality. In fact the Black trailer shows, Blake was in full support over hijacking a train until it's revealed Adam didn't care if the people on it died. And it's not like Sienna would be against that either, she has her limits yes, but Weiss does say she's knows people in the Schnee dust company to disappear because of them. Humans that just want to make a living are undoubtedly caught in the crossfire. Since these methods do get people killed. Now why am I bringing this up, well because even though Sienna did object to the attack on Beacon, Adam was right. He was following her example, using fear to show strength. She may have shown restraint in *ONLY* not wanting to cause a war they can't win, so does that mean she'd be willing if she knew they could win? Point is the White Fang are an organization wanting to bring peace to their people through a method they believe works. Sienna gave birth to this mindset with how she chooses to lead the White Fang. Now if we go back to volume 1 and 2 and listen to Blake's words about the Fang, what does she say? "They're misguided Faunus", further cementing Ilia's true nature as a character as a prime example for this quote. If you take every line of dialogue Ilia has about the WF, she continually defends them as a necessary evil, which remember every time Ilia speaks to Blake as a friend even in anger, she wasn't wearing her mask, Remember those masks? "Humanity wanted to paint us as monsters, so we chose to don the faces of monsters". *Did* *you* *also* *conveniently* *forget* *how* *on* *two* *occasions* *she* *warns* *Blake* *to* *get* *out* *of* *Menagerie* *before* *it's* *too* *late?* If her motivations were "if I can't have you no one can" then why even bother? She wants to protect Blake even if Blake doesn't return her feelings. She knows what the White Fang are capable of, this isn't a character fueled by her own motivations this is someone who got caught up in an effort to perform justice and is following orders believing there's no other option. Doing the wrong thing for the right reasons, even if her actions are *misguided.* "But why did she even mention she was in love with her" I've heard this claim too many and the answer is simple. Leading up to the reveal, Blake says "this isn't you" to which Ilia replies "Yes it is, but you were too focused on Adam to notice". This is an argument, she's trying to justify her actions to Blake as well as herself in order to make a point and mentioned her attraction in *passing.* Everything else she's said calls for her to believe the Fang as a necessary evil and she even breaks down sayings she just doesn't know what else to do. That's why Blake turning her are beautiful, Ilia's attraction made for an added layer confliction not her primary motivation. Blake states, the Faunus are looking for quick solutions for complicated problems and in the end it only causes more bad than good. This even further cements Blake's traits on who she's based on, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, the character who's known for seeing and bringing the humanity in monsters. Ilia was following orders for a cause she once believed in, believing they had the only solution for an ongoing problem, that's it. That was her entire character prior to her change

Also, I was at RTX last year for the first time. I was alone and decided to strike up a conversation with talkative people standing next to me while waiting to get into the Expo Hall. We were chatting about the show and how much we enjoy it and why. We also talked about the soundtrack and how much we enjoy the songs, which songs we like the most and which we like the least. It was all fine and good until one of them said that he can't believe they waited this long for a Bumbleby song. The other guy chimed in saying "it's because it's not canon like Black Sun is". They went from the peaceful people I was just talking to to people who were throwing insults at each other over the fictional pairings. Knowing that the situation was about to go from bad to worse, I stepped in and said "guys, everyone is allowed their OTP and ships...no need to hate on the other for your personal opinions. Let's not have an all-out brawl in the expo hall." They cooled off afterwards, but they refused to talk to each other. Why can't people let differences be differences?

When Adam came back at the end of volume 3, I watched the Tumblr explosion on that. The Tauradonna tag got flooded, I saw where role play accounts received nonroleplay death threats, and general harassment even though the shippers did not know how that was going to go down. Even saw someone recounting abuse done to them because they were called an 'abuse enabler.' I don't even know if I want to cosplay Genderbent Adam anymore because some of these people tend to threaten cosplayers of characters they don't like.

As manic as the shipping wars are, what killed a lot of my enjoyment of RWBY are the rabid fans who deify the show into this bastion of pure perfection. The episode comment sections are chock full of people trying to out-gush each other in their weepy praise for every tiny frame. Try to *hint* that there are some major flaws, or that the fights have gone way downhill without Monty, and you get torn to shreds. Loyalty is one thing. Total denial is another.

actually i think its the complete opposite, im sorry i dont see those people, but some people seem to be very outrageously harsh to this series and the people who make it,. The show has got nothing but better as it goes on (as it should do) and even people in the fanbase seem to fucking hate rwby and only comment to complain about the story or characters when they were even weaker in volume 1,2, and some of 3. I rarely see people defending this show and its people like you who have spread the narrative that this show is worshipped.

Man, it always depends on what Rwby fandom you are: the best one is reddit, because people speaks of everything, but there are fandoms like the RT one, where people only praise the hell out of the show, or fandoms like Facebook or Tumblr, where people are all over their troaths, from writing to animation to shipping. The show has flaws, but it' s not as bad as people make it out to be. And seeing that the fight got worse, after fights like Raven' s or Qrow' s one is just lying.

I was and it was the most pointless shipping war I had ever seen, with the main girl being replaced by a new eye candy every few seasons and with few interactions between the girl characters it was hard to come up with a consensus of who Ash would end up with because of new and old fans. You haven't seen the blood(hurt feelings) that was caused by NaruHine and NaruSaku groups. The number of Fanfictions, arts, and arguments I've have seen and all tell you I've seen some stuff so cringy made me hate my own group of shippers. With Naruto, you have an end with a series. With Pokemon, you don't know if they will have an ending.

Let me tell you a story here RPG: I was a HUGE fan of the show Camp Camp, and still am to this day (for those of you who don’t know, it’s another show created by the creators of RWBY). Of course being apart of the Camp Camp fandom, I was quickly intrigued and swept in by the RWBY fandom, but I only stayed for about month: and here’s why. During the month I saw a really nice looking BumbleBee art piece. Not thinking anything, I reblogged the piece to my Tumblr account, which was apparently FULL of Blacksun shippers. One of my favorite things I was called was a “bumblebee dirty c*ck sucking c*nt”. Of course I was a little hurt by the comments, but hey it was just the internet, this couldn’t get any worse, right? Then came the BumbleBee white knights. At first I was shown kindness, as most of them defended me saying that it was just a piece of art. But then through scrolling through my Tumblr account, some of them found I had ALSO reblogged a piece of Blacksun art. WWZ had begun. Now I had both sides of the shipping war not only going after each other, but coming after me as well. I got countless DMS telling me to slit my throat or hang myself. I ended up just deleting the post and calling it a day. I occasionally see some cute RWBY stuff but end up just scrolling past for fear of what happened last time It truly is amazing how fast people can turn on each other. I pray for anyone in the fandom and the creators of the series. They must have been through hell and back.

Aw man, please tell me K pop wins for the next Fandom Files. I'm not even in it, and a lot of those "fans" make me cringe. There'd be a *bunch* of topics about that fandom to cover, like fetishizing idols because they're Asian, getting really obsessive over a group, and being rude to other fans for one bad reason or another. I know there are a lot of great K pop fans out there (one of my closest friends likes it, and there are a lot of great dance covers, fan art, and funny videos too) but this is actually the only fandom where I repeatedly see really toxic behavior, especially disrespect toward...everyone. The fandom's actions and apathy toward some problems scared me away from really getting into K pop, even though I think the guy idols are cute, and I like a good number of songs. (I love the girl idols' outfits!) There seems to be some idols that did blackface and recently made rude comments about people with darker skin. A lot of fans seem to excuse it. And that's one of the many reasons why I don't feel welcome in the K pop fandom.

I remember RWBY way back during my graduating year of high school back in 2012 and I was amazed and intrigued by the concept of a show based around the characters of the 4 trailers I watched with good anticipation. When the 1st volume came out in 2013 I thought it was pretty nice and surprised that not only was the story gonna revolve around the 4 lead girls, but also around a number of other interesting and come to be favorite characters as well as the story continued. As I breezed through that volume and finished off the 2nd volume back in 2014 I found myself liking the show more and more as well as noticing that RWBY itself was receiving recognition as I saw numerous fans, art and cosplayers during my fall anime conventions. The fandom was quite young and the shipping craze hadn't kicked in quite yet so the waters were relatively calm, but then volume 3 came around with a terrible storm from 2015 to early 2016. While I too was shocked by the events of the volume and took note of the changes made after the passing of Monty Oum, my reactions weren't nearly as bad as how fans across the world had with cries of both anger and sadness over their beloved series and characters, but still continuing to grow as a fanbase. Summer of 2016 was an insane year in the fandom as I was able to attend more and more conventions and seeing more RWBY fans, but also noticing that shipping wars were getting way out of hand as with every calm and collective batch of fans there's another batch of people willing to go headhunting for the sake of their beloved ships. Some people went as far as saying that even the music used in RWBY was meant to promote their ships and would argue with fellow fans just because they wanted to enjoy the show for what it was. After finally concluding volume 5 and starting RWBY Chibi again, I'm happy to say that RWBY is still one of my favorite series to come back to regardless of the feuding and mixed feelings among the fandom. As far as personal stories go, the only one I can recall was rather awkward for me was when I was waiting in line for a RWBY panel last year and 2 cosplayers were getting into a heated argument about a love triangle between Jeanne, Weiss and Pyrrha to the point in which 1 of the two busted out their own handwritten fan fiction.

I'm reminded of an episode of My Little Pony called Stranger Than Fanfiction. It's about a Daring Do fan called Quibble Pants who was only a fan of the early books and didn't like the later books for their growing departure from being a puzzle solving adventure to being a pointless action series. This ignited a feud with Rainbow Dash as she found the action stuff to be the most engaging part of the story. In the end of the episode we are given the moral that just because you like something about a series doesn't mean that everyone elses opinion is wrong. The fact that so many people can love the same thing but for different reasons is actually a good thing as being able to accept other peoples opinions and learning to see another point of view can and does help you grow as a person. If Rainbow and Quibble hadn't been able to learn this, they would have missed out on making a wonderful new friend. This episode should almost be mandatory viewing for anyone interested in joining a fandom, any fandom. Everyone is different. They come into the fandom with different thoughts and life experiences. They will not be the same as you and it's wrong of you to force them to be otherwise. Learning how to coexist with people who are different is an important lesson for every aspect of our lives and one that would benefit everyone involved. On a separate note, trying to invoke the dead creator to try and get your way is disgusting and reprehensible.

I will never forget the depression I fell into after Monty's death. I was one of the fans on board right from the start, with release of the "Red" trailer. The trailers absolutely mesmerized me with the poetic undertones and artstyle, and blew my mind with the beautifully creative action dynamics. For me, RWBY was one of those things that did a lot to contribute to my mind opening to the extent of what was possible in a creative world. As I watched and kept up with the community matters, I grew an increasingly deeper appreciation for Monty. I loved the way he thought, his personality, and especially his work ethic. I look up to people like him as role models - people so unwavering in their resolve to create that it's what they habitually and intentionally dedicate the majority of their time towards pouring their passion into. When Monty was at work, he was unstoppable. The news of his death hit me like a ton of bricks. I didn't want to talk to anyone. I could only bring myself to eat once a week. I felt absolutely miserable for a solid two months. I eventually returned to more normal behavior, but it was still in my mind on a regular basis. I felt bittersweet towards the show's continuation, and the sweetness faded away as the series progressed, leaving only a bitter aftertaste of what once was. (Not to condemn anyone who enjoys post-season 3, but I strongly feel that RWBY lost the core if its identity without Monty being there to give the show its direction.) I remember joining the RWBY Wiki under the username "I'm not even a tree". I contributed regular minor edits, and also some more prominent ones that would be immediately reversed. My favorite character was always Weiss. Even before it was clearly spelled out in the later volumes, I picked up on the hints and subtleties of her character and pieced together her struggles and motivations. I felt alone in this understanding. Before the later seasons made it a point to make sure that the audience understands that Weiss is a victim to her family, the common consensus among the fandom was that Weiss was an irredeemably bad character. Nobody could see what had become obvious to me, until the later volumes confirmed it in the most blatant way. Looking back on it, I think I was using what little place I had among the RWBY Wikia community a means to passively express my frustration on the fandom over what I saw as a lack of understanding and appreciation over the finer points of Monty's work. I never got into anything explosive, but I was definitely part of many heated discussions over contentious topics. I argued "professionalism", but in actuality I was offended by the immaturity and disrespect that I perceived in the majority of the RWBY fandom. I thought they were all blind to Monty's underlying messages, treating RWBY as just another trash anime. Needless to say, I stopped contributing to the RWBY Wikia a long time ago. I also stopped watching the show after the conclusion of volume 5. I've since moved on, but I'll always carry my RWBY experiences with me throughout life. As for Shane's letter... For a couple years now, I've had it saved on my hard drive to read at a later date. I'm still not ready for all that. I need a bit more time before I can process the whole situation.

Okay, I have a story about RWBY and a character I made. Back in March I made a character for a roleplay I was in on a roleplaying amino. It was a thief character and I couldn't seem to find any pictures that suited her personality and look. Then, I found Blake and used her pictures and fan art (which I credited) for my character. After a few days I received comments on how I shouldn't have ruined Blake by using her image for my "disgusting" oc. They said it was "tarnishing her image" and "making her look bad". I received several of these, including ones saying that I should've made one specifically for Blake, not just use her fan art. I continued to use the character, even after all the hate but then it got worse. They continued to harass me about how I should take it down, remove the pictures, or change my character entirely to fit Blake instead. I eventually did delete the character from my profile and apologized to all the people I somehow offended, since I didn't want them to go after me further. I left that amino in fear that I might be harassed more so. Since then I have been hesitant about using fan art from an anime or show for my characters.

I wouldn't say the most illogical. I mean there are a few scenes in vol.2 that CAN be seen as a shipping fodder if you squint. That hug, that wink, that dance, it's not much especially compared to SS Eclipse's heavy canon, but i kinda get where are they coming from. White rose on the other hand... that one is really out of nowhere. 5,2 volumes in and i have yet to see a single scene that would justify the FNDM's support. They HATED each other at the beginning and while the Ice Queen defrosted over time, there is still not a single scene that can be considered even remotely romantic. Heck Weiss was openly interested in Neptune and Ruby seemed pretty content to see her with Jaune. I still have no idea why do people ship them.

Back when Skype was the most popular platform for talking to people you dont ever plan on meeting, I got into a weirdly one sided argument about RWBY because one of the girls in the chat, who was like 14 or 15 at the time, was insanely mad at RT for using the girls as, and I quote directly here, "queerbait". I was of the opinion that, just because the characters work and live with each other in close proximity, that doesn't necessarily mean that they are going to be in a relationship, nor have the girls shown romantic interest in each other. Mind you at the time Monty was still alive so they hadn't even brought in the first confirmed gay character or Jaune's sister and her wife, and at that time the only people making goo goo eyes at each other were Nora at Ren, and Pyrrha at Jaune. Said girl took much umbrage to this idea that the 4 main girls weren't even remotely interested in each other romantically and proceeded to throw a tantrum that culminated with her demanding I be kicked out of the chat.

i'm glad you did a video on rwby because it was actually a cool fandom to be in around volume 1 and 2. It was what got me into rooster teeth in the first place. but even back then I realise now that it was on a bad path because of the shippers. bumblebee shippers are some of the most aggressive and unforgiving people i've ever come across. i've seen bumblebee shippers get so viscous towards anyone who didn't ship it, didn't like it, or didn't focus on it (this isn't even compared to black sun shippers, this was towards white rose, checkmate and even ships that didn't involve the main cast at all). i still watch the show because some part of me will always love it, but I stay far FAR away from the fandom now

Same, I honestly really hate all this shipping fiesta. I (among others) got this monochrome fan that kept spamming us with asks and wouldnt leave us alone, and god if i could count the toxicity i got from some blacksun fans, 2 of them literally just told me to kill myself, and i never made a post about blacksun at all (which i lowkey kinda like as well? Sun is my favourite guy xD). It just kinda hurts when i go to listen to bmblb since it kinda makes me feel better and i just scroll down and see all those blacksun fans claiming that it makes no sense and that it wont happent, that we've been just grasping at straws . Honestly I respect people's opinion and everyone can think whatever, but Id love if people would stay on their lane: Im really sick of bs shippers posting some toxic stuff into the bb tag, or getting some ''bumbleshit wont happen and it makes no sense" comments when i post some fanart, it kinda breaks my heart but what can I do, even ignoring doesnt help anymore since they come in daily. The only thing that keeps me going is that the bumbleby fandom stopped being toxic, and oh man were they toxic, I kinda disliked the ship at first because of the fandom, but I actually got in to a little debate with a bb shipper that was really nice and that made me give it a try, at first it was tough but they calmed down and honestly im so glad that a shitty fandom got pretty nice. I'm a Bumblebee shipper, and always will be, but at this point even I have accepted that the likelihood of the ship becoming canon is abysmal. Granted, Korrasami was a pleasant and completely unexpected plot twist to its respective show that I am very much a proud fan of, but the chances of something that monumental happening again are slim to none. Rooster Teeth's writers haven't always been the best of storytellers, and as such, they would likely go with the easier romance to write for Blake, i.e. Black Sun. Yet as others have said, no matter which of these particular ships becomes canon (or, potentially, neither), there is always the fanfiction and fanart to immerse yourself in, even after the show's conclusion. I would personally like to see Blake remain autonomous, to replace her father as head of the White Fang and just do her own thing without being tied down by relationships, but will accept how they write her nonetheless. And if that means I have to drown myself in Bumblebee fanart after I see Black Sun endgame, then so be it. I've never been one to participate in the wars - hell, I rarely ever frequent social media or places like Reddit or Tumblr. And I feel that no matter which ship you support, as long as you stay civil and don't force your toxicity and opinions onto others that don't agree with you, it shouldn't be held against you. The same goes for all fandoms. Enjoy the show the way you want to enjoy it, but don't criticize others for enjoying it their way. Fandoms are supposed to exist for fans to come together, not be divided.

As someone who is a "RWBY KZbinr", I do shipping videos about the different ships in the show and I don't actually get that much hate. I have Bumblebee and Blacksun videos and I don't have much "fighting" on them. We also talked about the Arryn situation and I don't think anyone in my comments for that video went after her either. That may be due to the fact of how we look at things, more as "what if's" or "alternative universes", rather then "THIS MUST BE CANON". Since with over 60 ship videos like, not all of them are gonna be canon. I think that as a KZbinr, how you act will influence how your fans act to an extent, and so if other RWBY KZbinrs are really "forceful" with their ships, their comments will be toxic, but mine aren't. I personally never cared about shipping as long as it's natural like Jaune and Pyurra. But what really disways me Is the lack of action, fight scenes, and all around fight choreography. It became boring and instead turned into a exposition dump fest for tons of episodes, with nothing really going on. And when something does happen the fights look stale and/or cuts away from the main fight for something entirely uninteresting.

Question. What about the death battle fandom? Death battle is an online show where two hosts; Wiz and Boomstick, pit two or more characters against each other after three weeks worth of research. The way I see it, Death Battle is a sort of battlefield for the fandoms. Two fandoms could basically meet and rage over each other. Example would be Ben 10 vs Green Lantern where everyone went ballistic over the results. And as a guy who watched Ben 10 awhile back I can see why. But the biggest example would be Goku vs Superman. Dragon ball extremists have gone over the edge with that fight. When Shueisha made Super Saiyan Blue, they placed hundreds of requests to Screwattack to redo it and they did but they got even more backlash! And now that Goku can go super Saiyan blue kaioken and go ultra instinct, people wanna have a round three against the man of steel! I highly doubt that it’s easy to do so much research within 3 weeks. When I decided to rewatch Ben 10, I was barely in season 2 and death battle already has seen the entire show and red all the comics Green Lantern has been in as well as the cartoon and endured what Ryan Reynolds went through. Not to mention the amount of time animating the fights, nobody doesn’t seem to like whatever the result is! I’ll be honest, I have had my fair share of raging. Zorro vs Erza, Pokemon vs Digimon, Jotaro vs Kenshiro, ETC. But at least I’ve come to accept that some are better in stats and I should enjoy the fight. In fact when you think about it, every character that’s ever been in death battle to this day has had creators that made them just for the hell of it. They didn’t plan to have them in death battle (unless you count Crash vs Spyro, that seemed to be way too much of a coincidence) and this is a fan made thing. A character dies, whoop-dee-doo. It happened. It’s not cannon, Wait three weeks. The point I’m getting is that death battle is a great show but attracts the worst in people

Soarel I mean, the thing with Septiplier is that both Mark and Jack have said they are very uncomfortable with the idea of people shipping them. Dan and Phil on the other hand tend to encourage their fans to do it, especially Dan. He loves to see the creativity people put into their fan fictions and figures that if the people are proud of it and he's a part of it, he feels happy. He cringes quite a bit at the idea of any sex scenes, but he'll still have fun reading aloud fan fictions with Phil, even doing some on video for their audience. Idk that's just my two cents. I think it's alright if the people involved in the ship are okay with the idea of being shipped, even if they aren't for it, if that makes any sense?

So true. I'd like to take a minute and say a little (I say little but this is gonna be long) something to all the crazy fans out there too: 1. Let's talk about Monty for a minute. Monty is the wonderful creator of RWBY who has now unfortunately passed away. I'd like to firsly give CRWBY some credit for continuing the show, something that must have been incredibly difficult after a good friend of theirs passed. What I'm trying to say here is THINK before you post. All these posts saying "Monty would have wanted this", how would you know? How would you, someone who's never met the guy, know better than the people who actually knew and worked him? And how do you think it feels to try and carry on something for a friend who's no longer with us, only to have complete strangers spew out hate, claiming it isn't as good after Monty's gone, or they, his co-workers, don't know what he would've wanted with the series. It's true that his death changed the direction of the series. But I don't think any of us have ANY right to tell them that they don't know what he would've wanted, when most all of us have never even had a face-to-face conversation with him. 2. I'm a shipper and fangirl with the rest of you. I really ship some of the pairings in RWBY and I love the creativity of their names. And even though I really love RWBY ships, they aren't the ONLY thing I love about this show. I love the fighting style, the weapons, the animation, the characters themselves and all their antics and hilarious lines and growth. I love the story and the music and Chibi with its funny captions. So, I would like to ask you to kindly take your love of shipping, and compare it to your love of RWBY as a whole. It's ok to disagree. It's ok to debate calmly and discuss and theorize. But personally, I don't think it's worth tearing a fandom apart just to see which pair is "better" than the other. I think we should all be able to get along, and love the show for what it is. So please, just take a chill pill. Otherwise: JUSTICE WILL BE SWIFT, JUSTICE WILL BE PAINFUL. IT WILL BE, DELICIOUS!!!
