I like the knife. When someone starts using words like pumped, awesome and amazing I am afraid I stop watching just there. Nothing against you or the knife, but I did finish high school 38 years ago, was never a hippy or a surfer. Just speak to a person like a grown up.

@@RamonMarais-k2k Hey Ramon, glad you liked the knife! Yeah when I rewatch these after I make them I notice I use the same words over and over, especially “super”. Funny what you notice when you see yourself on camera. Thanks for engaging with the video!

It cut a length of 1 inch, hanging hemp rope? That's part of the American Bladesmith's Association testing procedure! I thought you had to have a large knife to do that. And, did you baton that little thing through a knot? That thinner edge is still very strong. It didn't snap the tip despite being thinner either, despite having a bigger knife that did.
@MarsFireForgeАй бұрын
It can be done with small blades, infact I’ve done it with a 2” blade before (wharncliffe style so maximum cutting power all the way to the tip). Lynn Thompson inspired tests like this, he also cuts 1” rope with really small knives. It tells you so much about the blade though it’s a great test. Yes it went though a few knots during the batoning, no problem. It’s a bit softer of a knife so does a super good job with that abusive style stuff. Thanks for watching the video!
