Old school jujitsu lock. Very cool and effectively painful. If you want to add some extra pain. Instead of doing the step-over. Drop your knee into the lumbar area of the uke's back. So you also have a ankle/kneeling spine lock. Be careful injury can happen if you loose your balance. We used to practice this back in the 70s on those special black belt Saturday classes. Have fun! Like your videos very much they have lots of great functional combat application.

One of my favorites! Especially when you start adding the extra variations to it. Keep up the good work!

Everyone should know by now that the standing Ankle Lock can turn into a half Boston Crab when your opponent resists your standing Ankle Lock.

I love that ankle lock. Applied with violence of action and speed it will tare the shit out of tendons and ligaments around that joint.

I like to think anyone who came up with the Boston Crab must have gotten their inspiration from this.
