Old school Kicker and PPI Art build.

A walk around Keith's just finished Art Series and Kicker old school build. It's got everything an old school enthusiast would want. A404.2, A600.2, and a unicorn Kicker comp cast. It uses Knukonseptz power wire and crystal RCA cables. The speaker wire Sky High 14 gauge for the interiors and 8 gauge on the comp cast.

PPI and Phoenix Gold were my go to's. Also loved my Alumapro subs, infinite Kappa and Cliff Design mids

Alumapro takes me back. They had that stupid large capacitor that everyone still wants besides starting the aluminum cone sub design craze. I got the eclipse/TC aluminum subs back in the late 90's. Cliff Designs is something I hear about and have seen some component sets on Ebay for sale that look sweet. No dealer in my area carried them back in the day but I need to learn more about them. Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

Nice! My old school collection is massive to. Our tailgate bus is mixture of new JL and old school JL. Still have all my Phoneix Gold, PPI, Zapco and Orion stuff. Could probably outfit 8-9 vehicles still. Can never bring myself to get rid of it.

Looks great brother. Love and miss those ProArt amps. My second subwoofer, back in 1997, was a floor demo model Kicker Competition 15" in a huge sealed box and it slammed. Felt like it was gonna turn my body inside out.

It's nice to own some of the equipment that I could only dream of buying back in the day. Being able to hook it up what would have cost thousands for pennies on the dollar has been really fun. Keith who has this sick PPI/Kicker set up has taught me quite a bit about finding deals, and who to go to get service done. I was surprised at how large the community of old school collecting is.

For sure, I would say that they hold their own with top quality components of today. I think the high price point at the time of their release made it possible to spend the time and money for research and development. Also, they could develop and source quality materials. There's been some advancements in technology but the resolution components hold their own, to my ears anyway. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I decided to start a career as a truck driver a year and a half ago. It hasn't allowed me to do videos of car audio. I'm trying to put in my time as a truck driver so I can get a good paying local job and I plan on doing a ton of new videos. I have bought a bunch of gear but it's sitting in boxes at the house. I would say do it! I'm going to have to start getting some because they are only going to go up in price over time. They are one of if not the best sounding car audio amps ever made, and awesome looking. I would suggest checking out market place or let go because deals on eBay are hard to find. A friend gave me a pair of the cast basket kicker comp c 10s that were blown . I have been trying to recone them. I can't find coils that will fit .
