I made this last year for my boyfriend’s family for Thanksgiving and it never made there. My boyfriend flat out said that this pie belongs to him and he wasn’t sharing because it was so good. I told him this year, I’ll make him a small pecan pie and the big pecan pie is for the family 😂😂😂

Looks scrumptious! I thought I knew all about pecan pie because I was born in Texas but this looks really really good! Brown sugar with dark corn syrup is old fashioned cooking. Modern cooks use granulated white sugar and light corn syrup.

Well I made the pie just as you did and it came out perfect. I have been using a different recipe for years though I would try yours, glad I did. I used a thermometer to test for when done, 201 degrees at 35 minutes. Thanks.
