You can do a mixture of smoked neck bones and fresh neck bones with the cabbage for something out of this world. You are right Chef - you must have hot sauce and pepper sauce. That's how Grandma served it.

Looks delicious. We usually combine ground beef or corned beef with cabbage and eat it with rice. Cabbage does taste good in sinigang which is where we put pork neck bones in.

I just bought neck bones. How do you explain the cuts to the butcher? I also add a little pork roast to mine for those impatient family members that don't want to deal with the bones. Sometimes I will make them in a gravy also.
