Yes that's true. Mhz radios are working as good or even better then any Ghz ones. Only problem is that you need to be 100% sure that anybody isn't on "your chanel". I like a lot my all Mhz radios. I'm actually using all kinds of 27 or 40 Mhz without any issues 👍

We had one in our field box at the club field. Back in 88 I had my first higher end radio JR Century 7 not the most advanced radio od the time but was great to me. Then bought brand new a couple years later JR x347 programmable radio. Now flying entery level Jeti 12 16 channel and love it.

Still have two Futaba super 8 with PCM receivers, from time to time took them to fly with them i send to check them with a guy with profesional equipment to see if it needed to "tune in" and he told me it was transmitting perfecly within rules.

72 MHz on pcm is rock solid these days:). I too have had more problems on 2.4.
