Watching you pry open all those little tabs provided a moment of nostalgia for me. When I was around eight (1962), I developed a burning curiosity about the insides of machines and how they worked. I learned how to pry open those little tabs to reveal a world of mechanical and electrical mysteries. It was a few years before I learned how to put things back together, resulting in the house being littered with the carcasses of many dismantled toys and devices. My mother found it amusing but my father did not and was only mollified by the fact that most of what I dismantled belonged to me. I'll omit the sad tale about what happened to the T.V.

My dad had one of those. Eveready did a cardboard wrapped battery that fitted the shape of battery box the same colour blue as the base on your torch I think his had a magnified bulbous Lens. Your vid brought back memories of playing in his shed. Great job John from County Durham, England.

Ich hatte eine ähnliche Taschenlampe als ich ein Kind war. Das war ungefähr 1975. Damals waren solche Taschenlampen in Deutschland üblich. Heutzutage würde man natürlich LED-Lampen verwenden. Ich wusste gar nicht, dass es die 4,5 Volt Batterien überhaupt noch gibt. Auf jeden Fall eine tolle Restaurierung. Vielen Dank für das Video!
