Still driving a 106 diesel 🙂. 70mpg average fuel economy over 40,000 miles 😎 and surprisingly comfortable, even on long trips.

I had a 1992 106 and once I accelerated and the drivers seat literally fell backwards into the rear footwell with me in it, I lost control and drove through a hedge.

I bought a 106 in 2001 - one of the cheapest small cars on the market. Very heavy steering, terrible turning circle. Drove it for almost 8 years without a day of trouble.

The only thing hateful about the car was the brake and clutch pedals being too close together unless you had tiny pointed feet. But compared to modern cars they crumple like tissue paper.not good while it was the popular teenagers first car. But was the first peugeot citroen identical pair.
