Old Town Bratislava - Enjoying History in the Capital of Slovakia

A tour through history, food, and architecture as we walk the streets of Old Town Bratislava. It is here in the capital of Slovakia that you will experience the sights and culture of Central Europe with locations like Saint Martin's Cathedral, Michael's Gate, and the Slovak National Theater. There are many monuments found in this area such as statues of local societal contributors including famous Slovak poets and art installations such as Cumil. You will encounter a variety of fountains throughout town, but there is a darker side too, as we will also take a look at the Punishing Well. While exploring the Old Town we will visit the oldest shop in Bratislava after tasting the local cuisine featuring the tasty sheep cheese dumplings. This adventure to Bratislava was a day trip from Vienna in which I boarded a boat called the Twin City Liner to begin my journey along the Danube River. Exploring the Old Town historic streets will treat you to some of the best sights in Bratislava.

Bratislava has an enormous amount to offer, but my goal was to show as much as possible in a short amount of time. While it is an easy day trip from Vienna, I recommend spending more time here.
