What was that last step in the process where the tire goes into the green machine with the lid that the boys clamped down? Is it heat pressure? Is it spinning the tire?

It's either a steam pressuriser or just plain air. The one I have seen used high pressure air inside the tire to heat it up and steam outside. I think I read from somewhere it was over 40bar/580psi inside the tire and same steam pressure. It heats and melts that adhesive strip between tread and structure of the tire bonding it together. Similar equipment was used in Finnland in 90's and sadly all was scrapped or are forgotten.

So how many times can you re-tire a tire before it can't be re-tired anymore & it's too tired so it has to be retired ?? 🤔
