As an engineer it certainly looks like they have improved that new design greatly over the other one. I look forward to seeing it operate.

I really like your review of these accumulators. I use a different system then Kuhns but I given thought to going to a Kuhns system. This comparison shows what a buyer needs to look for.
@DLHFarms4 жыл бұрын
I don’t know how they compare to other brands but I like them because they are simple.
@samuelscragg70524 жыл бұрын
@@DLHFarms I don’t think you could get a more simpler system. My equipment is hydraulic system and it works fairly well until you get a longer bale or a hydraulic problem occurs. I have a lot of hillside fields much like what you have and after watching your videos I’m fairly certain that a kuhns would work for me. Thanks again for your videos they are most helpful.

It should make picking the bales up easier if they're dropped tighter together. We put a pair of wheels on their flat sticking out the back of our sledges to squeeze them tighter when they exit sledges. Made a big difference for picking them up.

Anything to replace the person stacking bales on a wagon is an improvement. We bought a new pull type New Holland automatic bale wagon in the late 1970’s which I got to run several times.

Dennis you could also put a 2” hoop up near the top of that new chute if needed to keep bales From falling off

Great vid! With that new shoot being so steep, Have you noticed if it “banana’s” the bales? Seems like it’s quite an angle as it leaves the baler. Ordered the same model after you said they worked well on the hills, won’t get to use it till next year. Be safe, and thanks for the advice!
@DLHFarms4 жыл бұрын
No I haven’t had trouble with banana bales because of the shoot. If your using it on hill go ahead and coat the stainless steel with slip plate it’s a graphite lube

The length is what I'm interested in knowing weather the new one will hold up. To me,. The more length+ braces=structure and stability. Just my observation
@DLHFarms4 жыл бұрын
But length makes it hard to maneuver in tight fields
@jimsullivan97104 жыл бұрын
You think narrower hold up ok on your hilly fields, maybe trippier?

It’s also shorter in hight though. I’ve been using it and I don’t think its any tippier than the other one

What size bales do you bale we got ours together and used yesterday I think I need heavier/ longer bales. We bale 34-36” long 40 lbs +or-
@DLHFarms4 жыл бұрын
It likes 36 inch bales. I bale 36 to 38 about 55 pounds you have to make them tight. If your having trouble with the bales sliding put slip plate on the stainless steel. It’s a graphite lube.
