Your daughter's art looks wonderful, it's so sweet that you added it to the game! I framed my sons first scribble and had it hanging on the wall for quite some time. (Technically not anymore cause we recently moved back to Germany and I'm not at the point yet where I know what to put on the walls, but the picture for sure moved with us as a keepsake!) For a story for the winery I like the idea that the owner heard of an endangered local species and as he was getting older and had nobody to take over his business anyways decided to dedicate himself to saving this species from going extinct. That was the birth of the 'zoo', a private collection and breeding program (to reintroduce animals to the wild and save the species of course), eventually starting to allow visitors to educate the public about these animals, and one day (maybe after the old owner passed) adding more animals to become an actual zoo. Now the only problem would be to decide what animal was the first endangered species 🥴

Here's a story about the winery backyard, which comes right after I read this article: "Heat and drought are a challenge for Italy’s wine industry, the current world leader in production, but it is proving remarkably resilient." (Bloomberg, Oct 2022) So the story is: After two centuries of uninterrupted activity, the "Cantine Guttuso" (named after Renato Guttuso, a famous Sicilian painter 😉) had to shut down and sell their assets. The wine business is highly vulnerable to climate change and heat and drought made it less profitable in the past few years. However, thanks to the local wine consortium, Sicily Zoo could buy the estate and save part of the vineyard. What's now the backyard of the "Guttuso Tavern" (that could be the restaurant's name) is an example of resilience and passion. Innovative agronomic techniques have been developed and a new business model arose: more sustainable, more inclusive, and economically efficient. Children guests can visit the fields, learn about the effects of climate change on crops and take part in wine-related workshops in the safe hands of our staff, while parents can take a break and enjoy a glass of wine and some cannoli at the Guttuso Tavern!

When I see the overview of the zoo in 21:07, my thought is that the otter's river should continue till the big river. In the middle you can include some sweet water habitats, as a lake for flamingos or crocodiles. It seems natural to pump water from the main river to the otters area and include a small depuration system before returning the water. I am loving this serie! Keep it going! :)

I have a story: The winery yards belonged to a couple. The man and woman were both around 60 years old. But one day they received a phone call that the man's mother had an disease and not long to live. And the mother lived far away. But they still went to the mother to say goodbye. But both the man and the woman were also getting older and decided not to go back to the winery yards. And that's why this winery yard was abandoned.😉

I have no idea for the background stories, but I do know that my favourite grape from Sicily is the Nero d'avola grape. It's a red wine grape and it makes for a somewhat dry, fruity and deep flavoured red wine. Even the cheaper wines taste great.

I think the story should be: the winery owner was in financial trouble after there was a landslide (or a flood) and so he decided to start a buisness that would include having animals near the winery in dedicated habitats and then when he started making money he decided to expand the buisness into an acutal zoo

Story idea #1: Everyone was eaten by the lions of this zoo and since it is on an island, when the next day at opening happened, no one knew where the family had gone and assumed they had just up and left since the zoo was having financial hardships ferrying people to Sicily and providing the nourishment for the animals. Dominic Myers saw this as a cash grab and bought the zoo immediately... unfortunately, the timing of buying this zoo also happened right as (we) enter the picture and the zoo didn't have to suffer much of Dominic Myers' neglect before he was run off and the zoo was turned over to Emma Goodwin. She was the smarty pants that figured out that if you look at the poop, you'll find out the skulls and bones of the old family are in the lion's enclosure, and she immediately ensured that policies were in place so the lions didn't nomnom on employees (or guests) ever again. Story idea #2: The small family winery owned by the Kamelinni family started in 1923 by Mario Kamelinni and his soon-to-be wife, Pescadora. Through the generations, the farm was passed down, with each new child in the family being the inspiration of a new wine. In 1991, the Kamelinni family had severe financial hardship running the farm, ferrying Italians over to Sicily. There was also some family disputes at the time, with the youngest daughter living in Germany at the time of the birth of their youngest newest male heir (something about patriarchy but all with mustaches and thick italian loud voices). The youngest daughter wanted nothing to do with her family thinking because she was a woman she couldn't run the farm, and so the farm struggled and went into the red for twelve years before going into the verge of bankruptcy. On the eve of the 95th birthday for the farm, a young buck with the unusually similar last name Rennkamel happened to be on holiday in Sicily, getting rather rowdy on all the wineries he was touring. The young Rennkamel toured the relic winery, fascinated by the natural surroundings, architecture, and the iconic local wildlife that seemed to be nesting around parts of the farm. Taking a drunken chance, young Rennkamel decided to finance into the winery with the thoughts of adding money by forming parts of it into a wildlife sanctuary and zoo. The Kamelinni family, scrapped for cash, gave up their endeavors as they desperately needed to sell the farm, not caring what happened to it because they had no choice. Rennkamel nabbed the farm for quite the undersale, a pretty penny of one penny (times 500,000 financed euros). Upon moving and exploring the newly owned land, Rennkamel discovered the photo of a young lady in the attic of the farmhouse, realizing she looked quite a lot like his mother. Upon contacting her, he learned.... drumroll please.... Rudi Rennkamel was the long-lost heir to the Kamelinni winery line! Rudi then continued on his venture of transforming the winery into a thriving and financially stable wildlife zoo, and as we approach the 100th year anniversary, Rudi plans on launching the Rennkamel Red Champagne with the opening of the zoo's largest expansion, a huge endeavor and successful financial turnaround for the winery. What will this new expansion be? Find out in 2023: Year of the Rudirouge Champagne! I could come up with a bunch of ideas.... these were two quick ones that plopped into my head right before work.
