Having grown up in England post-war, it gives me such satisfaction seeing how you re-use old things to make beautiful new things. That's how we were then too, wasting nothing, and everyone in our working class was able to turn their hands to repair and create. It warms my heart, thank you. 😊

Nancy Anne Berg hey Nancy, I often feel the same way anymore. I’m a disabled Desert Storm Vet and just can’t get out and do what I used to be able to do and the past several months have really contemplated what my purpose in life is anymore, I know there has to be one but it sure doesn’t feel like it and I don’t like this feeling at all. It’s a hard struggle when you can’t get out anymore and you don’t have many friends that come by anymore to even check on you so I understand how you feel!! Videos like this help me so much tho. I’ve got a big pile of wood out here to easily make everything that was made in this video but I don’t have a way to make the stencils and that’s what really sets everything off with the sayings on them. Even tho I’m so damaged, there’s still so much that I can still do but it seems like I’m always missing one of the most important steps to be able to finish things off so I’m stuck with starting stuff that I can’t finish again and that puts me into another dilemma that I haven’t figured out how to get out of just yet. Hopefully one day soon I can figure out a way to make things come together. We gotta keep hoping and praying Nancy! If we give up on that then nothing will ever happen, so keep hoping and praying cause today or tomorrow may be the day! And there’s more of us out here than you know, and we have to give each other hope cause it seems like everyone else gives up on us for some reason. In my case, since I can’t go to the mountains hunting and fishing and play mr fixit for everyone, it’s easier for everyone to just stay away I guess I’m not sure if that’s it or not but it feels like it. But hang in there , I’m here for ya if you need to chat anytime.

LOLOL Good score, Mary!! Can't wait to see future ideas and projects you have for this wood. Right now, I'm just waiting for my neighbour's fence to fall down (which it will by Spring) With you at the helm, any project you do is going to be fantastic. Just hope I can keep up with you. I'm on my way out now to make that planter box and the "Home Sweet Home" sign. Have you ever seen one of the same design that says "So it isn't home sweet home, ADJUST"? LOL Have a great day and virtual hugs from Canada.

Loved all the projects using up-cycled wood. Especially loved your use of Bible verses as well as “America, one nation under God”; may it always remain so. God bless your work Mary and your family.

Mary- Are you selling any of these pieces on your Etsy shop? I'd be interested in one of them .I'm always amazed at your not wearing goggles, gloves (some nails could be rusted) or shoes/sneakers in case something falls on your feet... So glad you were able to rescue and upcycle all that beautiful wood!

A nice touch of warmth with the rustic wood. Wonderful projects and easy enough for the average girl! Thanks for sharing Mary. God bless.

Hi Mary, I hope you don’t think this question is rude, I just don’t know and wonder why? I’ve noticed you and your husband don’t wear wedding rings. Is this part of your religious beliefs? Thank you.

Hi Mary. I have been enjoying your channel for a while and I have been saving some wood for projects. I have my husbands grandmothers bed, which is broke but I would like to make a bench with it. Also several other things on your channel I think I will try. I have never done any wood working but was wondering if you could tell me which tools I need to begin with? Thanks for sharing, I really love your channel.

Love the decor you made. Really like barnwood .I had a home that my late husband I Fixed up using barnwood. Very time consuming cleaning the boards but was worth it all. Thanks Mary for sharing your ideas

Mary, what type of table saw do you use. I know you mentioned prior that it wasn’t working. But I’m thinking of purchasing one. Also what is the brand of sander you used in this video? You are one hard working lady and I love all of the projects you share with us.

How fun and what a treasure trove of wood you received from your neighbor! I hope you make some things for your shop..........so so so cute and they should sell like hot cakes. Your imagination is just a true gift! So blessed are you with all these things. I love to use the big tools as well and my favourite is the chop saw for angles and just about anything I can use it for. I wish our space was cleaned out so I could get back to my wood crafts I did years ago. I have way too many hobbies.....LOL I love what you have made here Mary ..........such ingenious things and so sweet. I can see them under the tree for gifts etc. Trays and all sorts of things. I love bed trays and I bet you could make a few of those with handles with all of that wood...........a nice thing even to make to put things on in the bath for ladies or gents to put their items on.......perfumes, balms, etc etc.........just so many ideas! I love it all! Congratulations on your wood haul! Blessings
