Regular Chaos Knights have a 3+ armour save (heavy armour, shield, barding). Being mounted no longer adds to your save.

Great video, thanks for sharing! There are many things I like about Old World. But will say for even semi competitive 2000 points of Old World I would say you want a lvl 4 Wizard at least for each army, obviously barring Dwafs. Huge Khorne fan myself, but there isn't anything in the Warriors of Chaos roster that helps you out by not taking a Sorcerer and the Daemonology Lore is amazing. I really think that the Orcs and Goblins magic did a ton of work, which is shown very well in the early stages of the game. Fated dice arn't remotely enough to stop a competent Wizard.

It seems you have a lot fewer models. Have you compared the number of points for a similar army in T9A?

it's definitely much smaller of a game model wise. I was playing 200+ models in orcs on T9A this is like 40ish. The biggest difference is the lack of objectives and need for scoring units. I think the black orcs are more expensive but at least come from core.

Can you explain better how the combat rez on the right with spider and cavalry went? With no step up, how did they inflict lots of wounds? Amd did you wiff a bunch of wounds? What about stomp?

I did wiff. I believe the 4 wounds were the stomps. The main issue with the spider is his normal attacks are ap-0

"he models"? you mean GW? i doubt most Tournament organizers care. Unless you are going straight to a games workshop sponsered event or your models look nothing like they are suppose to.

James my brother. Why the insane amount of character points spent? Your going full blown hero hammer mate. I hope that GW will step in an adjust the character allowance and nerf the fuck out of ridden behemoths. Makes for kinda boring game play with single heavy model spam. The strategy goes kinda out of the window then. Just stack the hardest mofo character you can build and watch it go to town. Curious to hear what you prefer.

Without step up, it seems like single models with high toughness/armor/wounds or small elite units that hit fast and hard is the way to go. Deep ranks just seem to slow a heavy-hitter down.

I really wanted double spiders. I was running double giants, but I would roll bad when i needed a big hit. The 2nd spider can only be taken in character points. The wyvern lord is no different to me than if I took zod on a chariot. And the lvl 4 is the same to me. So I don't see it as hero hammer. My goblin shaman has zero items

@@chihammerfantasybattles8588 well your list is made up of only elite stuff except one unit of wolf riders mate xD and maxing out on characters is hero hammer imo no matter how we twist it. But its all flavour I suppose. You are prone to get steam rolled by one dickhead on pegasus or whatnot with Monster slayer if you go heavy monsters. Not saying I like the monster slayer rule either. Think some adjustments to the game needs to be made cuz the main rulebook is really good as long as you can agree on the ruleset xD haha
