Those little dishes were for nuts or mints for when you played cards. Hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades! Lovely color. The ones I’ve seen have been smaller.

The “snowball” glass items probably started life as rose bowls, but putting battery operated votives in them would be super pretty too. The figure on the oil lamp base is supposed to be Bacchus or Dionysus, and the animal would be a stag, boar, or one of the large cats (tiger or leopard). The green and black finish looks like a 1970s “antiquing” paint job to cover the original polychrome cold painted finish which was probably flaking off when Great Aunt Mildred had Great Uncle Henry convert it to electricity.

The folk art black cat on the mantle is wonderful. And so many good quality glass pieces. As soon as the video ended, I scooped the spring flower stuff off my mantle and replaced with fall items. Scott you’re always an inspiration.

I think that the first "snowball" may just be an American brilliant cut rose bowl, circa 1880 to 1920. The three toed bowl is also a rose bowl, probably central European, from the last forty years. Brand new to me! They would look pretty with votives, but I would strongly recommend battery powered ones so as not to crack the crystal.

I agree. The smaller bowl is a ABP cut pansy or rose bowl. The larger rose bowl with the fat legs is czech cut glass

The light blue club shaped "ashtray" is a pickle dish, not part of a four piece set. It is an EAPG mold, possibly McKey, but was probably made by Smith in the 1960's. Pretty!

Oooo your EAPG basket is by Ripley and Company, introduced in 1882 (!) Ripley obtained the exclusive rights to the handle which was patented by John Timberlake of Jackson, Michigan. :) You do find the most marvelous things!

For the month of October, I would flip over the black console bowl. Then I would place a vintage witch (preferably a witch) or pumpkin figurine in the center. I would then fill the circular section with Halloween candy !

That Check Protector is why they used to say "Cutting a Check" because it actually 'cut' some of the info in, to protect against anyone changing the amount after it was issued.

The hour hand on that ceramic clock at 12:00 looks like it needs to be tightened down, or it won't spin around when plugged in and will just hang there pointing at 6. As for that figure on the refurbished oil lamp, at first I thought it was a mythological creature called a satyr, but now I think, because of the grapes, that it's Dionysius, the Greek god of wine.

Beautiful fire place. I purchased a Art Decco, want to be battery clock. It went through batteries like crazy. I took the clock part out of it and im using it as a bowl riser. If that heavy crystal looks like maybe USSR. Russian. I have 2 of them.

Love the crystal spherical bowls, and your idea of grouping several together is great, it would be a dazzling holiday display. I see it on an entry table. Okay, the Irish girl music box messed with my head, since I gave one like it to a girl in the early 70s. I won't be purchasing this one from you! Love the burgundy 40s lamp, and I'm wracking my brain thinking of where I could use it. I'm addicted to small lamps, and have another burgundy one I purchased from you that is a favorite. I’ve never ever seen one before - Antique Ripley “cake basket.” “EAPG #10 cake/fruit basket with metal handle, made by Ripley, circa 1882-1890s. Clear glass with engraved grapes and cherries, along with fine-cut crossed bands. Metal handle was patented by Timberlake.”
