sooooooo typical. My last recommendation is: expect the dead end roads, and know you'll need plenty of patience along the way. I think the Montego is easier to sell later. The C60, while cool is only practical to a small market

I have been buying and selling vehicles parts etc for over 40 years. Watching your video I'm agreeing with everything your showing and stating. Now even an old dog like me can learn something and I did watching your video. Last Spring I was trying to sell a 1967 C10 Chevy pickup on Kijiji with the gut saying he was in Regina and I'm in Saskatoon 250 kms between the cities. The guy was insisting I get one of those reports and like you had never heard of them. I did the same as you and offered up the VIN so he could get the report himself. My spidey sense was going boing, boing but stayed polite and he used the same thing u mentioned that it wasn't his vehicle so it wasn't right he get the report. We both wouldn't budge. So now I know what he was up to and again thank you for the video.

@@OldeCarrGuy Yep. I'm selling a Lincoln Continental Mark VI in excellent condition, no rust, clean title. I cleaned it in, out and I put over 20 pictures in/out from every angle. Everybody thinks they can get everything for nothing these days. I had it on Facebook marketplace for over a month. All I get is compliments, ghosted and low ballers.

I'm a huge 72-79 Ford intermediate fan, so hell yes I'd like to see that Montego wagon on the channel. Missed an opportunity to buy a '73 Montego that color about 3 years ago, running, no rust, but rough cosmetically for $2000. Just found a '76 Montego sedan locally, just gotta save back up for it, and figure out how to have it towed home as it is not running but not locked up.

I've put " Wanted" or " ISO" Ads up on Marketplace and Kijiji looking for Studebaker and Model T parts and I always get " How much for the car?" Or " Can I get more pictures?", " What parts do you have?" If I respond, it's always " Did you read the ad?!"

Here is the deal. Those people that don't put information know that people that use FB Marketplace don't read any of it so they don't waste their time. I have parts for sale where I am and no matter what I put in the text, they ask the price and the details. They don't read anything.

In order of irritation moderate to high, things *I* hate about FBM: "Is this still available?" and then no response. You say yes, and they reply, "I don't want it, go away". I think the issue is on mobile, you're browsing, go to scroll down and it sends the default message to the seller. There should be a confirmation dialog before sending the message. People who offer you $300 or $500 for your $2500 vehicle and then get upset when you don't entertain their BS. "You never know unless you ask" oh no pal, you KNOW this is a running/driving late model minivan that isn't wrecked with cold air and no rust, you're well aware this is NOT a "scrap value" kinda car. People who want to make payments. "You can trust me", no way buddy, I don't know you at all. It gets more ridiculous on lower priced items like laptops. I was asking $150 for a pretty nice older gaming laptop (good enough to play 720p GTA V, not good enough for Cyberpunk any res) and I got more than five people asking if they could take it and pay me $20 a week. I'm not Rent-A-Center. You want a laptop for $20 a week save for 2 months you'll have my $150 asking price. If you can't do that, how are you going to pay me every week? People who ask fifty detailed questions on a barely running heap. Dude, it's a $900 car, it runs, it moves, it shifts, it turns, it stops. It doesn't do ANY of those things well, you WILL have to put work into it to keep it roadworthy. I'm not sending you a dozen pictures of the underside. It's got thirty years of dirt and grease down there, it looks exactly how it should. I'm not paying for a Carfax on a car with 288K miles on it. You want one run it yourself. You want to know more about the car, COME SEE IT, it's not going anywhere. People who make plans to come see the vehicle and don't show up. They either stop answering messages or string you along "just five more minutes" "my wife isn't home from work yet" "I'm waiting for a ride" and then three hours later I gotta go to work and cancel and then THEY get mad at me. Man, I got a JOB to go to, make a commitment and follow through or don't bother!
