Great idea for the toilet. As someone also in their 60’s and thinking of a van build, I didn’t want to have to navigate around a toilet while showering. My idea (before seeing yours!) was to have the toilet on slides that would slide out of the shower into the van while the shower was being used. Yours is smarter!!
@adywhitford32462 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comments. I wanted to use sliders, but I was too heavy. 🐘 ! The Nautilus door was expensive but with the toilet packed away and the shower floor being level it gives us a big space to wash and dress. Good luck with your build

Also what keeps the toilet from bouncing around when it's in the cabinet and is there a particular reason why you chose that toilet? I have limited mobility with RA so thank you for mentioning your wife's Fibromyalgia, when things are designed for someone's health issues in mind, it makes life easier for everyone. We are in our fifties and are just about to start our first build into a brand new Iveco and like you we'll be doing it out of our garage on our drive. We'll be thrilled if ours turns out anywhere near the standard of yours. Apart from our bed being longways and not installing lpg our design is actually remarkably similar. We both ski so will also use our van for cold trips as well as warmer climates. We're based in the East Midlands and would be very happy to meet up once we are on the road if you were interested. Have fun. Paul and Alison
