"[...] Lock, stock and barrel was owned by the Barrow and Locke mining company..." The prosaic writing of this show is godtier, such a magnificent turn of phrasing

I just found out about this channel last night. I think it was a mistake to start watching these from the beginning at 8:00 PM. Especially because I live in a VERY rural area of West Virginia. As a fellow Appalachian, I love that this is a thing and is respectful of our people and traditions/superstitions.

I came here from the RPG side, and live in Europe and someone made a game called "Vaesen" which is pretty similar in concept as this is to the Appalachian settlers. It's so refreshing to actually see stuff that is based on what people made myths and stories of, not some weird scramble of countless ripped out of context things.

Ok starting the video with the most Australian man deserves its own content warning.

Right?😂 I was afraid something happened to our usual storyteller and that's the best replacement they found.

This makes me very happy! I got a tooth ripped out today and this makes the pain I'm in all the more bearable. Eating my mash potatoes { it's the only thing I can eat right now.} While I listen, I am in bliss OuO

This is so so good. The maternal side of my family, namely my papaw and his father and mother, their roots steeped in the Appalachian way of life for generations. My great papaw worked the coal mines in West Virginia and my papaw worked the railroad. It makes it especially creepy.
