anyone else think it's weird how the baron geddon bounty doesnt actually give baron geddon coins?

Personally I like using Balinda's Fire Elemental, which frees her up to use Frost Dart, then proc the fire combo with the elemental. Letting me put +3 Fire Weakness on 2 different enemies, which Geddon also doubles up on. It's a bit more animations/menuing, but the damage is also enough to kill just about any trash pack in normal BRM and Alterac Valley as well.

Exactly. And also, if u pick ur mercs manualy, the shuffle animation will took less time.

is there any mercs i can substitute balinda with? i have 80% of mercs but im only at 200 coins with her and dont want to do fully grind her out yet

None are as good. Chi-Ji is OK. Khadgar is sort-of fine, although you may sometimes need to use the 5-speed ability on Ragnaros with him. Brann is fast and good for the easier farms, but fails in harder content. Antonidas was the original Merc before Balinda was released, and he also still works, but the original Fire was a glass cannon and suffers from some fragility.

Hey Guardian. First, thank you so much for your guides. With your help i was able to do most of the event stuff. I have a question: Can you tell me if we only get coins from tasks for mercs who are not maxxed yet? I cant tell but it feels that way. Because i need Longxin for the new dragon combos but i still need over 400 coins. It would become more and more unlikely to get coins for new mercs with more and more coins in the pool for everyone else in the collection.

Random coins are random and you keep getting coins for maxes Mercs indefinitely. Yes, it is unlikely to get coins for a specific merc.

A great fire combo, arguably better than this is Alexstrazsa, Baron Geddon, and Deathwing

For me, the Felwood heroics are a godsend. I was starting to get burnout banging my head against the lvl 30 bounties, but the ones in Felwood: -have much shorter maps, so it takes fewer restarts to get a layout with only 2-3 fights to get to the mystery node -because the maps are shorter, you often get routs that lead up to the last trash fight while only have to do those 2-3 fights, which results in much more coins when you retire -both the Ancient and Banehollow are reds, so if the 3 on the bench are somewhat usable, you can even challenge the boss with your farming comp, if you get tasks that require that -I need Anduin coins to max him out and I don't even have Gul'dan yet, so that's just extra value I don't know how different the spawn rate for the Mysterious Stranger is for lvl 29 heroics compared to lvl 30s, but I'm definitely setting up camp in Felwood. Until it gets nerfed, like the Air Elemental :P

Hi there. As far as I farm mercs by catching strangers, need to say, that even normal Felwood 5-6 are very rich for this. So, I farmed the next combos in a raw (since November with breaks according to existance of free time): - budget Cariel-Samuro-Xyrella, though their farm was on normal 3-1; - Anacondra-Mukla-Krush (Mukla's third ability with Krush's treasure ability, that makes it fight to death, incredibly powerful); - Diablo-Cairne-Varden-Lych King-Jaina; - Tamsin-Voljin-Natalie (ultra-fast though, but not so fast as fire ones); - Antonidas-Rag-Geddon-Anduin-Velen-Uther (Felwood 6 on normal - easy-peasy, heroic needs some more attention, but still easy); - after some time, Garrosh-Grommash-Thrall-Rokara-Galvangar-Sourfang-Guldan; - not so long ago, Varian-Cornelius-Tirion-Wrathion-Rogers in company with Anduin for most sinergy healer (1-18 full tasks for 5 mercs - two weekend days, something about ten hours of real time); now I do pirates (Vanessa-Smite-Sneed-Edwin-Eudora-Cookie), now all of them did their 13th tasks, 30 more tasks - and 18 boosters are mine. I do that in Felwood 5 normal, literally 40-50% of task boons are strangers on some distance. Often see that after first fight with treeads there is a path without battles till maybe-stranger-place :) It took 15 minutes to find 4 tasks 13 and more 15 minutes to execute them (4 heroics). So I can say, that Felwood 5-6 is the best place to seek strangers. It does the most swift grindruns in 1-3 battles for one try to catch stranger, with little percent of restarts (4 and more battles before maybe-stranger, y'know). Sorry if this is not exactly that information you needed for, my English is not perfect yet :D

There are two ways to get Mercs: packs and crafting. The fastest way is to buy packs until you get the Mercs you want. The second-fastest is to farm their coins from their bounties. The most cost-effective is to complete all Merc tasks and then farm bounties when you have done them all.

Why would you farm heroics for strangers? i use the normal lvl 28 in felwood banehollow. What are the difference? Best regards from Denmark!

The probability to find a Stranger depends on the relative level of the bounty and the highest-level Mercenary in your party. Therefore, the best place to farm is as high-level bounty as possible where Mystery nodes are as early as possible and your party can one-shot the fights. Heroic Banehollow is the standard spot for farming because fights can be one-shot with a good team and it is higher level than the normal version.

I don't think better comps than the ones I built exist. Long'xin is obviously stronger now compared to Yu'lon, but if you do not have it, you will still want the two blues you have easier access to.

Since day one I have used Alex, Baron, Rag.. I personally think these three are the best until they cone it with a better fire combo merc over Alex/ Baron
