Good video Billy, erm I mean Mitch 😜 Though I haven't even received the Nesco suction vacuum sealer I ordered a few daze ago yet, I am researching chamber vacuum sealers. I'm considering one of the German or Italian brands and definitely one that uses an oil type pump. To try and keep it on the less expensive side of these expensive more commercial type oil pump vacuum sealers, the JVR Vac100 is probably on top of my list. But this one, not an oil type pump, is also on the list. Thanx Wevac for giving Mitch one of your chamber vacuum sealers so he can share it with his audience. It looks like a purty good deal.

Mitch, I gave great reviews of Wevac but had to delete them. I am glad you got one for free, but your viewers should know this. I attempted to order the Turbo, which costs twice as much. First time, my credit card put a fraud hold on, so I called the credit card company, and they stayed on the phone for me to run the purchase 5 or 6 times more, but it would not go through. My credit card company said it was on the seller's end, so I sent them an email. I received what I think was an AI generated half-responsive reply. I tried calling their US customer service number, no answer and no voice mail. I sent a second email. Also,k Their website shows them to be Clichy, France, which is 7 hours ahead of me. They have had time to call me back, but they have not. I encourage anyone wanting to buy a Wevac to check their customer service first. I was going to buy one, but now I think I will get a Vevor. They have good customer service. It appears, in my opinion, they were good to you, Mitch, and I am happy for you, but I am not so sure your viewers will be treated right if there is a problem.

Its amazing how much better this seals vs Food Saver. I butcher my own Ribeyes' and when I vacuum seal with my food saver it looks great for maybe 30 days maximum. IDK why my sealed Ribeyes start to get air into them but they do. I been getting frustrated so I am saving up for this machine for sure. Thanks for the tutorial and recommendation Mitch!

Same with me! My ribeyes start to turn gray and "aged" in a vacuum sealed Food Saver bag straight into the freezer after about 30 days.

Just to advise, I tried to purchase the vacuum Wevac today and my credit card gave me a fraud alert because the transaction was routed through Hong Kong. I got it confirmed but thought you ought to let the Wevac people know this is happening. I will reorder now and cross my fingers. Your discount made the $199 vacuum version more appealing. Thx.

Thanks for letting me know. So many companies are in China these days, including many I buy from like DJI ,and that happens to me occasionally too. There have been a few other people purchase from wevac over the past few days, and I don't think anybody else had that problem. Maybe your credit card company has a higher level of diligence.

Thanks for the introduction to this product I was looking at a food sealer at Costco today and didn't pull the trigger only because I saw something that cost a pile on money for my dad something that could have an impact on his health he is 83 and kinda stuck in a chair and stuck in neutral gear have a great night my friend and I ate my meat for the day !

Hi. You’ve mentioned concerns about forever chemicals and seemed to favour silicone bags. I’ve heard it said that the plastic used for these gadgets is safe but I was thinking maybe you knew otherwise because of references to chemicals and your use of water displacement.. I used to believe that the Plastics May be somewhat harmful, but I have since really looked into it and I'm convinced that I don't need to worry about it. Sometimes when we learn something new that seems credible, we change our opinion. That's called having an open mind.

I am currently eating steaks I froze last March (2023) and they are perfect. They were sealed with my old Food Saver, but a few of them did leak air. I expect over a year and a half with the new sealer with no leakage on any steaks. I guess we'll se sometime in late 2025 .....LOL

The value is in buying things on sale and in bulk. I buy whole briskets, sirloins, and ribeyes, then break them down and bag em and tag em. That way I maximize my time, money, quality of nutrition. I typically try to have a month or two’s worth of meat on hand in the freezer. But to each their own.
