Looks lovely. My sister in law made something similar but with pretsels & baked them in the oven.
@janetbelone130214 күн бұрын
Hey Chef Jeffery! That looks like a good snack cracker.😋 I'd use olive or avocado oil. I would have to use unsalted crackers,since there is salt in that seasoned ranch packet.😂 I have to watch my salt intake. I use sea salt. That's nice to eat with tuna or chicken salad. I've made some Tortilla Chips from scratch before. It was Pam's Recipe. They came out good.😊 Thanks for sharing. Blessing 🙏💘

Thank you, Chef Jeffrey! I'm going to try this. How long do they stay fresh? Do you put them in the fridge? Can we use olive oil?
@OLDSCHOOLSOULFOOD15 күн бұрын
Yes

The first time I made this recipe I thought there is no way it will work because the oil will make it an oily yucky mess. I'm so happy I was wrong!!! 😂 Over the years, I've tweaked the recipe a bit. I use the Korean coarse red pepper because it's slightly finer than crushed red pepper flakes and sticks to the crackers better.

Chef, I just made some Sunday night to go with the chili my son cooked when this cold weather blew in that night. I had an old co-worker turn me on to then over 10 years ago. If you're not careful, you will eat the entire batch.

No. Because it has water in it

Maybe try coconut oil, if you don’t care for vegetable oil. I use coconut oil for my popcorn (with sea salt or kosher salt). The popcorn tastes buttery. If you try it will you let us know? 😊

Can use olive oil or avocado oil too.
