My Daddy always made chicken and dressing with goblet gravy. He made it just like yours, except that we always had chicken instead of turkey because none of us liked turkey. He added the neck to the giblets and shredded the meat for the gravy. I'm 68 now, and Daddy has been gone since 1987, but I can still taste it to this day.Thank you for the memory walk!

I always put eggs in giblet gravy. My grandmother did it her parents did it my mom‘s parents did it the great grandparents did it all of my aunts I grew up that way. I don’t know why lol but it was just something that you did. Of course they had to be diced up and put in toward the end. That turkey stock with that depth will make or break a good gravy. I can taste it now😊 I always used to pull the meat off the neck bones and shred it real fine and chop it up, along with the heart and the liver and gizzards. Your recipe is so much exactly like how I grew up and how I make it to this day.

Good evening Chef Jeff! It is a privilege and a pleasure to be able to listen and watch you prepare foods that are staples for our family holiday meals. I have one question. Where does all that turkey stock for your gravy come from since you do not use canned stock? If you make it would you please share the recipe? Also I'm going to start using all fresh herbs unless my recipes call for dried. If I had the pleasure of eating at your home, bring the gurney and oxygen 😂😂
