Greetings from Finland. Here would be my humble request for a reaction video because you like songs that have a story. Wintersun. Time, or Sons of winter and star. Live rehearsal Sonic Pump studio 😊

There are an awsom duet with Hammerfall ft. Noora Louhimo, named second to one. Love harmonies? This is amazing. HammerFall is a Swedish heavy metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden. The band was formed in 1993 by ex-Ceremonial Oath guitarist Oscar Dronjak. You are gonna love this one 👍 Hammerfall was also supportband for Sabaton touring Europe and North America.

Love your reaction and yeah we do have a lot of pretty longhaired guys here in Scandinavia. 😂😂 Black Ninja, King for a day or Out of Control are some great songs from this band.

Got to do their sibling band next Beast in Black - "Blind and Frozen" MUST be your first listen from them then just go nuts "From Hell With Love", "Die By The Blade", or two of my personal favorites "Crazy Mad Insane", and "Killed By Death"

And you could suggest some better bangers like Zodd the Immortal, Eternal Fire and Born Again :D
@TofuBug243 жыл бұрын
@@mikkolaine4883 If that was my intention I might have mentioned them. But I'm sure OSN has no IDEA who Zodd is, has ZERO knowledge of Miura's work (As disturbingly amazing as it is) so those kinds of songs are a little less accessible. Bangers to be sure but do they have that GLORIOUS 80's hair metal cheese? Not really. What makes Beast in Black such an awesome band is they play everything our nostalgia remembers about 80's rock and metal. Killer riffs? Check. Lead singer who can sing like a girl when he wants to? Check. Synchronized Guitar theatrics? Check. Rock Ballads? Check. Ridiculous over the top lyrics sung with absolute seriousness? oh you better believe that's a check.
@mikkolaine48833 жыл бұрын
Okay we are totally in different leaves then coz I think the second album be BiB was damn lame with the hair style rock instead of metal 😅 Even I don't know who Zodd is but it's a pretty good song 😁

Nora has done many quest appearances also. Another Finnish hidden gem you would like is Sonata Arctica. Band full of skilled musicians and singer who gives everything in every song! Singer Tony Kakko and Nightwish wizard Tuomas are best friends.

Sonata Arctica, "White Pearl Black Oceans" Kemi Open Air 2009, "My Land" Masters of Rock 2015?, "Replica" Wacken 2008?, "Victoria's Secret" Live in Oulu? "Tallulah" YLE TV Live (I hope my memory serves me about right when it comes to the year of performance.)

As another 45ish year-old like yourself, I have listened to a lot of the same music you've mention listening to back in the day. So, that being said I think you would really get a kick out of Battle Beast's song King for a Day.

Definitely gotta do "Black Ninja", "King for a Day", and "The Golden Horde". Also, more Amaranthe with their songs "Fearless", "Archangel", and "BOOM!"

Awesome reaction! I really like your take on the message of the song. We definetly need more uplifting stories like this! In my opinion, this was one of their softer songs so you really need to try something else like "The Ecplise" or "Straight to the Heart"

Hi, really enjoying your reactions, including this one, thanks! Personally, I don’t like placing bands in strict genres (rock vs metal and its subgenres), but it does create a frame of reference about what you’re expecting to hear in terms of guitar & drum sounds and vocals. I did listen to the 80s Hair Metal Bands and Metallica back in the day, but now I’ve just started to rediscover metal this year (took a detour and got back into metal through classic metal covers by Steve’n’Seagulls). I do enjoy some power metal and also these bands that venture into hard rock and power metal, depending on the song and on what definition you want to use. Noora can do metal screams like Ronnie James (check out Black Ninja), but there is a very basic rock feel with a steady 4/4 beat in their songs. There is another, related band called Beast in Black, which was started by Battle Beast’s original guitarist and songwriter Anton Kabanen. They have a male singer with a very unique voice, I suggest that you should check out Blind and Frozen from them. I would place them close to the 80s synth-driven hair metal genre. Both bands have a few great songs, but they are just a bit too sweet and sugar-coated for my daily music consumption. But getting to the more metal side of things, and since I saw your reaction on the Eluveitie song, I would say that you would probably enjoy some of my favourites like - Amorphis: Death of a King (quite heavy sound and vocals, but this one has a special twist featuring someone from Eluveitie). The Bee is another great song by Amorphis, but the only video with good sound quality is the official lyric video. - Nightwish: I Want My Tears Back (again, featuring a special celtic instrument, introducing you to their 6th member, Troy Donockley). For this one I would recommend the Buenos Aires 2018 live video, which has a great audience and interaction with Floor & the band. The Wacken version is ok too, but for this one it’s good to check out the newer concert. Nightwish does venture into folk metal at times and I think they do it well. IMO it started with their old cover of Over the Hills, but got more interesting after Troy started appearing in their songs after 2007-08. Elan is another good example and one of the few Nightwish songs with a real music video. The new album is a bit of a hybrid with some folk instruments and vibes in many songs, but I guess that Harvest would be the most folk metal song in there, so please check out their new stuff after a few more of the older live videos.

Discovered you last night and went through all your reactions. Subscribe right away. I’m going to suggest my favorite band cradle of filth. But I’m going to suggest their more commercial nymphetamine fix. ( they have guest vocals from the singer from leaves eyes). But after that I would suggest something like her ghost in the fog ( guest vocals Doug Bradley aka pinhead from hellraiser but you have to read the lyrics because Danni is one of the best lyricists )

Battle Beast new songs like Eden may differ from their older songs also because some years ago the band had to "let go" their old guitarist Anton Kabanen who up until that time was behind all or at least most of the songs and who controlled (too much so it appears) how the band sounded like.

Kinda happy that you chosed this one to be your first song because after Black Ninja every song feels a bit dull😅.... This is pretty good song too (from their newest album) but to be honest I'm not SO much into their newer stuff and I like more their not SO poppy songs like Enter The Metal World, Show Me How To Die, Into the heart Of Danger, or Black Ninja from their two first albums🤘... So maybe there's something to add on your list😅

I'D like to suggest Bringer Of Pain from Battle Beast. They have moved away from the harder edge stuff with the exit of one of their main songwriters( now with Beast In Black)over the last couple albums. I saw them a couple years ago and they killed it. I have yet to find a live video with good audio so listen to the official video of Bringer Of Pain. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
