Whoa that escalated quickly.... Also thanks for not having ad's on these things. I don't mind the original ad's because they aren't annoying, KZbin could learn from these old ad's!

We don't/can't have ads because we're not producing original content (or modifying these to count as original content). That said, you will see ads on some of our videos, if another party has a copyright claim on the video and wishes to generate revenue from it. I don't think a lot of our videos have ads, but some do. A lot of what is posted in this channel is either public domain, or the copyright owner hasn't monetized the video.

I've seen and heard several adaptations of The Veldt... Bradbury 13, the Ray Bradbury Theater, the original text, and now this one. Of them all, this has to be my favorite, as it really examines the concept in a more thorough and coherent fashion even than Ray himself did. His writing tends toward the poetic, focusing on imagery over philosophy, but I prefer an approach which verbalizes explicitly what the story is about, chewing it over at length to really fully grasp all aspects of it, rather than focusing on the mood and allowing the reader to subconsciously pick up on subtext that conveys the intended emotional context of the tale. This version may have been toned down to please the censors, but imo it's a rare case of the result being an improvement in the story's quality, at least in terms of my preferences.

Rewritten version of Ernest Kinoy's original August 9, 1951 script for "DIMENSION X". Bradbury's story was initially adapted just the way he wrote it- but I believe NBC was somewhat concerned about the ending. So they insisted this version be told in flashback, with a different ending that wasn't as disturbing as the original.

Substitute 'nursery' with 'smart phone' and this could be about kids' obsession today.
