Hi I have a problem detaching the entire driveshaft away from the gearbox to do the brakes on my 1963 AMI, it seems that the only way is to take off the two round circlips and pull it out leaving that chunk of metal protruding just outside the drum brakes, it doesn't look so straightforward like on the 2CV. Any help please!!

ECAS is a good place to find parts. You can also contact the 2cv shop (the2cvshop.co.uk). I made a video about them in my last 2cv playlist. Check it out. They are great.

And no. You don’t need special tools for the engine rebuilt. It is pretty easy to do.

hello i need to replace my push rod tubes as my old one have pin holes , have you any tips how to get the old one out of the head & get the new ones in ??

I have never replaced them alone because they tend to deform themselves when you force on them to get them out. The easiest way of doing that would be to replace the complete cylinder head as I have never seen any push road tubes spare without the cylinder head part attached to it.

SI le moteur a peu de km, il n'est pas utile de faire cela? Il faut juste tester si le moteur tourne bien en mettant un peu de w40 dans les emplacements de bougies après avoir vidanger et nettoyer ?

tinatpasselepoivre c'est un peu plus compliqué que ca. Si le moteur a peu de km, il sera moins usé c'est certain mais si il est resté longtemps sans tourner, les joints sont probablement secs et craquelés et l'huile a probablement laissé un dépôt au fond du bloc moteur. Ce dépôt va se décoller des que le moteur va tourner et peut aller boucher les canalisations de lubrification du moteur et le tuer. Pour voir si le moteur tourne bien a la main, un peu de gazole dans les cylindres par le trou des bougies plutôt que du WD40 et ca devrait le faire.
