In 2023 giving love and thanks to nappy Mayers for this all time great chune! It strikes a cord in my heart and spirit! Sending love to all those who mourn what Trinidad once was and the faith that Trinidad can rise above all those that bring down the moral Fibre of this great nation! Love will prevail❤

We have no idea how supremely gifted Richard "Nappy" Myers is. I use the present tense because music is immortal. The real tragedy is, apart from the obvious, that there are no present-day local songs that would make fine companion pieces to this. "Old Time Days" shows us how sweet, calming and non-invasive Trini music can be, if we work at it. But this is pure genius.

2020 we're going through some things Lord!!! This song really resonates with me more than ever right now. The world is in so much pain, so much pain and anger. The amazon is burning, so much lives being lost, human and animals alike. Global warming. Pandemic killing us by the thousands. Discrimination is at an all time high. "Bring back the ole' time days", Where we settle disputes with words instead of guns, bringing up your fellow man instead of standing on him to get higher! We go together, we grow together!!! Instead we take 10 steps forward and 100 steps back. Nappy Mayers said it best. I know everything does change but I still love the ole' time days....so bring it back, bring it back!

I am a child of the 80s born 81 good time in the 80s 90s was blazing the song was still playing around until 97 I think on television an it just disappeared some 90s kidds could relate to it because they learned from us but unfortunately we didn't bring the love from the past an the few to have the brother and sisterhood fellowship are fighting for our sweet T&T.as the nation changed most of changed forgetting the love and respect but instead most grew selfish. But I do still love my country
