Some years ago, an Elder at my church lost his wife to cancer. He was ex-military. A few months later he took his own life. I went to HS school with his kids. He left 3 children and a foster child behind. The two oldest finished school a year later. They're married and have families. Not sure about the youngest, but the foster kid, I see him every so often. He lives on his own. They were good people. I met them when I was maybe 8. They moved from a whole different state after he retired from service. Living the American dream. Like my family, you start with almost nothing. You get better, make more money, get nice things, etc. But time is finite. You never know when it's your time to go.

I love his voice, and I love the whole vibe of this band. Believe it or not, it was my 15-year-old grandson that introduced me to them and a few other new country bands.
