I showed my wife this song yesterday morning, had the sweet girl crying and a tear or two from myself if I’m honest. One thing you never see in music anymore is feeling, connection, real soul slamming music, this has it!! One thing I know from being a musician. If you can hit their souls with it, it’s something they will remember for The rest of their lives, and that’s an impact that you will Never live down. I mean shoot, I woke up with on my mind this morning if that tells you anything..

So GOOD i love it... I've been listening to this song on repeat for over 45 minutes and I'm not finished. Thumbs UP to them and share everybody✌ Brother Joe never had a lot, he became a man of God Frère Joe n'a jamais eu grand-chose, il est devenu un homme de Dieu Started preaching at the church down by mile marker 17 J'ai commencé à prêcher à l'église au kilomètre 17. He works his days, he works his nights Il travaille ses jours, il travaille ses nuits Spends his time saving lives Il passe son temps à sauver des vies When the day ends, he goes home to his beautiful family Quand la journée se termine, il rentre chez sa belle famille Sweet, sweet Valerie, well, she's the whole reason Douce, douce Valérie, hé bien, elle est la seule raison He ever found God in the first place Il a déjà trouvé Dieu en premier lieu He thinks back to the first date Il repense au premier rendez-vous He was nervous, jumbling his words Il était nerveux, mélangeant ses mots Sweating when he tried to flirt Transpirant quand il essayait de flirter He'd just never seen a woman in the world as beautiful as her Il n'avait jamais vu une femme au monde aussi belle qu'elle She told him all about Jesus and the love He had to give Elle lui a tout raconté sur Jésus et l'amour qu'il devait donner Few years have passed now, and they're thinking 'bout some kids Quelques années ont passé maintenant, et ils pensent à quelques enfants They popped out a couple few Ils en ont sorti quelques uns They sit up in the front pew Ils s'assoient sur le banc de devant Every Sunday morning when he's in the pulpit Chaque dimanche matin quand il est en chaire Spreading gospel to the room Répandre l'évangile dans la pièce Preacher man, he's so in love Homme pasteur, il est tellement amoureux With God, his woman, his three sons Avec Dieu, sa femme, ses trois fils And every morning when he wakes Et chaque matin quand il se réveille He thanks the good Lord up above Il remercie le bon Dieu d'en haut This life he lives is more than enough, sometimes things get tough Cette vie qu'il mène est plus que suffisante, parfois les choses deviennent difficiles But he does it for his Valerie who pulled him from the rough, yeah Mais il le fait pour sa Valérie qui l'a sorti du pétrin, ouais It was Sunday night, he was back in his office C'était dimanche soir, il était de retour à son bureau He was writing down talking points for the sermon next week Il écrivait les points de discussion pour le sermon de la semaine prochaine. He was writing 'bout forgiveness and rollin' with the punches Il écrivait sur le pardon et la capacité d'encaisser les coups "If you catch one on the chin, you just gotta turn the other cheek" "Si tu en attrapes un au menton, tu dois juste tendre l'autre joue" Phone started ringing Le téléphone a commencé à sonner He was busy singing some old gospel hymn he learned Il était occupé à chanter un vieil hymne gospel qu'il avait appris From his sweet, sweet Valerie De sa douce et douce Valérie He checked who was calling Il a vérifié qui appelait He knew somethin' was off when Il savait que quelque chose n'allait pas quand He saw the sheriff's office on the caller ID Il a vu le bureau du shérif sur l'identification de l'appelant He picked up the call and his heart started dropping Il a décroché l'appel et son cœur a commencé à se briser He don't get this way often, but he's grittin' his teeth Il n'a pas souvent ce genre de situation, mais il serre les dents. Someone broke into the parsonage, the neighbors heard the poppin' Quelqu'un est entré par effraction dans le presbytère, les voisins ont entendu des bruits Before the lady finished, he was down on his knees Avant que la dame ait fini, il était à genoux She told him they caught him Elle lui a dit qu'ils l'avaient attrapé Two broken locks and three little bodies and his sweet, sweet Valerie Deux serrures cassées, trois petits corps et sa douce, douce Valerie Well, the preacher man, he's got a gun, he don't wanna hurt no one Eh bien, le pasteur, il a une arme, il ne veut blesser personne But he believed that Jesus needed him to leave a bullet in a man's head Mais il croyait que Jésus avait besoin de lui pour laisser une balle dans la tête d'un homme. He knows that come the risen sun, it'll all be said and done Il sait qu'au lever du jour, tout sera dit et fait. He ain't gonna make it right tonight if he don't paint the walls red Il ne va pas arranger les choses ce soir s'il ne peint pas les murs en rouge He puts the steel to his own head Il met l'acier sur sa propre tête Two words is all he said Deux mots c'est tout ce qu'il a dit Tears streaming down his cheeks as he let out a, "Jesus wept" Des larmes coulaient sur ses joues alors qu'il laissait échapper un "Jésus a pleuré". "What the hell was all this for?" "Pourquoi diable était-ce tout ça ?" Lifeless body hits the floor Un corps sans vie heurte le sol Soul is headed home sweet home L'âme se dirige vers son home sweet home To his three boys and his sweet, sweet Valerie A ses trois garçons et sa douce, douce Valérie Oh, his sweet Valerie, oh Oh, sa douce Valérie, oh Brother Joe never had a lot, he became a man of God Frère Joe n'a jamais eu grand-chose, il est devenu un homme de Dieu Started preaching at the church down by mile marker 17 J'ai commencé à prêcher à l'église au kilomètre 17. www.lacoccinelle.net/1462818-ole-60-brother-joe.html

Its being lost to AI and Pop music and others the old outlaw rock with that grab your heart give you chills kinda of music is dead. Trust this if you continue down this path and keep using the formula for this song you will have every dream you ever desired come true. The writing is great. Vocals are amazing and the band strikes me as a great group of guys that ither grew up together or met one another at work or play and decided to make some music. Ill say this dont let the industry get to yah and stick to your roots and keep making great music.

Some years ago, an Elder at my church lost his wife to cancer. He was ex-military. A few months later he took his own life. I went to HS school with his kids. He left 3 children and a foster child behind. The two oldest finished school a year later. They're married and have families. Not sure about the youngest, but the foster kid, I see him every so often. He lives on his own. They were good people. I met them when I was maybe 8. They moved from a whole different state after he retired from service. Living the American dream. Like my family, you start with almost nothing. You get better, make more money, get nice things, etc. But time is finite. You never know when it's your time to go.

It reminds of back when i was younger and my uncle would be preaching and he talked about Jesus and the live he had to give and if we truly got it, we would be a huge sip and people would wanna be around and would wanna sip of and so on and u know what, hes right and that comes with everything in general really. I love his voice, and I love the whole vibe of this band. Believe it or not, it was my 15-year-old grandson that introduced me to them and a few other new country bands. I have a whole playlist he made for me. Raw, gritty, hard-hitting lyrics. I'm down for this new sound, so much better than the country-pop that was being pushed on us.

@RandomStuff-zt6qf probably just a similar situation. If she lost a loved one in a rough way. Nothing comes out how it's supposed to sound.

I had never heard of Ole 60 until this evening. A 19 year old woman I work with (I'm a 60 year old male) mentioned this band, and I told her I would check them out, I did, and I like what I hear.

Alotta weird comments. Let’s just appreciate incredible song writing, the lyrics are relatable at first and the ballad is impactful. It’s just talent. Ole 60 doesn’t miss. Just appreciate the talent.

I can't stop watching this heartbreaking story made into a song that grabs my heart and makes me relate to the hero of the story. What a tragedy this song reminds me of Romeo and Juliet. Beautiful and Tragic!
