What kills me is that you do know purple, you just keep doubting yourself after you've already defined some of the rules. Height of blocks has a universal rule across colors too.

Purple is “change a part” probably: so middle purple is change some letters (patS-> patH) up is change some sound (Maim -> Same[Saim]) and down is change some parts (Human -> Cyborg, Fork -> Spoon). In general, for what I got, top are about sound, middle about the written word and down the object the word refers to.

A helpful twist is that a high purple sharing the same sound isn't going to be also spelled the same, because that could have been a middle purple. That eliminates a lot of the possible rhymes (like running through all the -ight words), even though there are often a handful left still to guess.

This is not spoilers, as every one I talk about you have already solved, but rather showing a concept you may not know about. Have you heard of phonemes? It's quite interesting, it consists of writing the sounds of the word, not using letters, basically the sound bits as symbols. For example, remember when you saw cat as a top black, which you say is homophone reverse? I'm just going to show it to you as phonemes, as well as the answer you found, tack. Cat: k æ t Tack: t æ k I'll let you draw the conclusions. Also, top white berry. Berry: ˈ b ɛ r i Bury: ˈ b ɛ r i If you are interested, I'll put some more examples after this point. If not, I hope you have a most wonderful day. I love the way you think, also, as well as your resilience and persistence. 27:19 The holes in the ceiling are indeed because of a 2nd floor. Don't worry about that for now; I'm pretty sure you can't get there yet. But there is more to the puzzle... hidden in places you've been to outside. Unrelated, go back to the island paintings room - you only cleared the first stage of it. Also go back to the hedge maze turret - there's a bottom floor to it.

I've been playing in parallel, and it wasn't until I watched Tyler go through The Strand Room that I realized with a shock: White numbers and blue numbers are adding letters at the same positions per number! Granted, in the A series, the fourth letter is D, and in the I series, it's a G. Even so, wicked layers to the design here. Also gained a better appreciation of Orange Tower when Tyler climbed it. (Each elevator is unlocked from the side passages, except for Owl/HedgeMaze.)

Sharing a thought about purple, so read at your own risk (I don't know for certain, but this is my guess/feeling): I feel like the rule for purple is generally 'rhyming, but the end cannot be written the same way'. So like, if the given word is 'RIGHT', the answer must end with the sound 'IGHT', but it cannot be spelt 'IGHT'. So it could be like, 'SMITE'. Like, 'DAYS' -> 'MAZE' as another example. It's the same sound at the end, but the letters used to produce that sound are different.

Finally getting to the harder stuff huh? I want to share a bit of what I think the colors we've seen so far, I'll say it below: To what I feel like it's happening, purple is not a full rhyme, what's happening is that all top colors refer to the rule of what they are, but the game searches for the "closest" sounding word, it's a phoneme of the word you may think it is On that note, I'm still in the belief that Purple is indeed some sort of combo of red and blue, it replaces a fragment of the word, like a syllable or something Grey has been presented a few times, at first I didn't get what did it even mean in the slightest, but I have a theory after finding it way later in the game: The grey may be meta words, we've seen the grey refer to sizes and things around the house

Since you solved brown already. I think the clock-symbol represents time: That's why bottom brown; what happens to this after the influence of time (Bread > Mold) and brown middle is the word itself after the influence of time (Nigh > Near) I hope this isn't spoiling, but just clarifying.
