O gimnastă expresivă, elegantă, grațioasă. Superba Olga, a inovat lumea gimnasticii artistice mondiale.

Olga is without any doubt a natural talent hinged on her smile, all the rest is just the result of it effortlessly by her .

Because a gymnast got paralyzed from the neck down doing it

@@LunalovegoodofBallymurphy I believe it is the Thomas salto that was fatal for Elena Mukhina, who broke her neck while practicing it. No one got injured from the Korbut flip, as I know.

I love Ludmilla, but Olga delivered when it counted and was brave and bold in sending gymnastics in a new direction

Tengo. 40 años viendo gimnastas y asta ase poco crei que nadia era la mejor pero cuando vi a korbut es exelente
@mayratrasvina2292zggfh3 жыл бұрын

I wonder if u know how much you teach me about gymnasts today!! Every time I read your comments, I find myself looking for videos of all the people you write about!!! Glad I helped you find the word you needed, though, personality is very hard for anyone in any sport or any of the performing arts to bring out, keeping in mind that one must first do what one is expected to do (all the tricks, technic, etc. not to mention the huge preassure that competition and performance have on us all).
@martinl1914 жыл бұрын
perhaps it is more than personality, but something "special" VERY few people have (or can achieve). Korbut had it, so did Comaneci, Retton and Szabo (to name a few that come to mind). It is a much harder task to bring out one´s own personality in performance than in a conversation, confrontation, a speech or a debate. To have it developed in teenagehood is what makes it so impressive in these gymnasts. I bet there have been many others that had it but had not enough time to develop it.

The reason Ludmilla probably hated Olga was b/c Olga stole the spotlight from her at Munich. Ah, the drama that is gymnatics!

I had no clue who Raluca was until I read your messege (LOL) and I did think that pic on your channel was you. It´s no joke that I haven´t watch gymnastics in over a decade. Don´t enjoy seeing gymnasts with zero personality. I am not a member of the Cirque du Solei, I was just kind of giving you an idea of what I would do today if I was a teenager and a gymnast (of which I am neither) Love your sarcasms and sense of humor! though I doubt neither Dawes nor Ray would !! Yeah, I've heard they weren't the best of friends.

Yeah, it's a shame for Ludmilla. A lot of people either don't know or have overlooked the fact that she, not Olga, won the AA gold in Munich.

@beautifulsarah100 LOL! No doubt we now live in a VERY commercial and consumist society! Art, took a step aside... But let´s look at the positive side: Cirque du Solei!!! If I was in gymnastics and still in my teens, I would do everything within my power to be able to join them. They have the type of gymnasts and artistic routines I enjoy watching. They took from the past AND elevated it to a non-competitive new art form. By the way, loved your pic Sarah!

Anyone know where I can find that documentary where Olga says that her coach use to sexually abuse her from the age of 14 or younger? I've watched it on here but I don't know where it is. She's older in that documentary.
@rosebud9704410 жыл бұрын
I think anytime you have a male coach alone with a young girl there should be a female coach there with her. just not safe. its the same way with male doctors. nowadays women cant have a exam without a female present. really sad that she didn't have anyone protecting her.

lol at the racist comment. You're right about the sexual behavior of men. I doubt anyone wouldn't be attracted by this girl even if she looks young. Lots of people think today's society is the worst. But no, we just talk more about those issues that's all.
@saezvirginia457511 жыл бұрын
Not a pedophile (she was 17!), but if Olga told the truth, her coach was a rapist (even if Olga didn't use this word herself on the famous documentary). I don't think she lies, but no one of us were there to tell it. And please, don't say that the coach's voice is testifying against him: this is just suggestive!
