The Olight GL mini offers many of the same features as the full-size Olight Odin GL but in a smaller overall package. The mini offers the same light and laser combo with the rotatable head to select the various functional modes.
You can select between laser only, light only, and light and laser modes. The white light modes boast a 1000 lumen light with 180 meter throw.
Interestingly, the mini only includes a Picatinny mount. This is a tad confusing as m-lok has become the defacto standard. The mount included can also only attach the light in one orientation to keep the light zero'd and accurate, which causes a lot of confusion.
Overall, the light is nice in a smaller package but Olight should look at removing the quick disconnect feature on a light set like this. The QD makes no sense and once the user sets the zero and gets everything aligned, it would be pretty silly to just take it off so you could find your keys.

Looks like there's two silver adjustment screws on the front, do those torque when using the 90 degree offset? Also, that pic mount was the standard mount when they came out with the original Odin a couple years ago. I still have one that's been abused to hell on a .308 with an Aero S1 handguard but I'm using an Arisaka cantilever M-Lok scout mount, not the bulky pic mount. I was really happy when they came out with the M-Lok offset mount for the Odin Minis, and that's how they're all mounted, the QD just makes charging easier, and saves me having to spend more $$ for a scout mount just to get a hair closer to the rail. Where Olight drops the ball is their end caps and tape switch, the new tape switch with dual mode looks better, but they still need to think about having a way to interface with the Surefire "standard" if they want to be taken seriously, and that then opens up a lot of accessories, and helps bring the cost of a NV system down since you're not needing to drop half a grand just to have a white light that interfaces with your IR and laser setup.

My Odin GL mini just came in, and it’s seriously so awesome. I didn’t have $600 to drop for a light, but I still wanted something bright and reliable. I’ve only had it for 3 hours, but I love everything about it. The laser is definitely a huge bonus

My only compliant is the battery life on my olight, however I Think with the battery this light you should be good to go. Steam light uses the same battery and they last 3 hours, however the one have it’s just a simple light.

I just came to see the olight collection lol. I still have the original PL-Mini Valkyrie. Back when 400 lumens was the brightest light ever! I was a fan of being able to charge it while it was still on the gun and Last Line Of Defense even made a holster that let you charge it in the holster. Super small for the output too. Since it's soo low, I ended up using it alot as a light on the top pic rail of ar pistols (since it doesn't obstruct the view through the red dots). Mostly it's a placeholder now until I can pick up something super bright to keep up with the lumen/candela wars. I've never had an issue with mine. Honestly, I've had more issues with Surefire lol.

I have the Odin Mini mounted to my 300blkPDW 7”MLok handguard. Problem is limited space, if the pressure switch is mounted to the top rail, the bracket that holds the pressure switch does not allow room for the Light itself to tuck in right next to it, using the 45° MLOK light mount, the picatinny switch mount rubber is too wide. I ended up buying the Olight Odin picatinny mount to place it in front of the switch to tuck the light closer to the rail. Just gotta work with it I guess. Re: Laser usage, imo I’d like a laser as a back up, when trying not to crowd my top rail, im foregoing buis, So, a small laser under barrel or with light integrated means if I don’t have time to bring my sights up to my eyes due to a charging intruder, or my red dot failed, with a laser I can split second shoot from the hip without bringing my gun up to my eyes.

My light came with 2 rechargeable batteries and I don't charge at night, but I digress 1200 lums for the beside ar and my light isn't much larger if at all...no laser though

That’s a bummer about the picatinny requirement; I have a hybrid rail, but picatinny space is limited. Other than that, it looks like a nice light and laser combo!

Is it true the set screws only work on one side of the mount? So if you don’t have it on the side with the set screws, basically you just deal with the wobble?

No. Set screw works the same regardless of mounting position. You obviously have to flip the mount when switching sides of the rifle.

@@robotpedlr Works perfectly fine brotha. There is a little play in the mount to olight connection but there isnt much you can do besides hot glue or something to keep it stiff. I did notice a bit of bounce because of the play with the green dot but as far as the connection to Mlok and zero i havent had an issue.
