The best part for me is air travel is a no brainer. Remove the blade before going in the plane. Pick up readily available blades at your destination.

That’s an excellent point! I did find that workpro blades work best. 👍

Fantastic knife: drop shut action, perfect centering, no blade play. I am tempted to buy at least one more and keep it in reserve.

Appreciate the review. The points you presented was enough to steer me towards purchasing multiples. Some already given as gifts. I'm a novice to folding knives. Surprised by your demonstration on how quickly the blade could be deployed with that thumbscrew. Nearly mastered that technique now. Many thanx!

Probably made at the same factory in China that makes fake Bugouts...but it's the best design for a utility knife blade out there. Gotta recognize that. Ordered.

It is a great design, thanks for the feedback. They have another flat slider utility knife I want to try as well. 👍
@RobTheOgre11 ай бұрын
Definitely not, it's most likely manufactured bi Kizer knives like the other OKnife. Benchmades patent expired on the axis lock, that's why lots of Knife manufacturers are coming out with "axis" lock knives

Don't usually buy Chinese but olight really hit the ball out the park with this knife. Am not afraid of breaking the blade or letting someone borrow it that will dull the shit out ur knife. It's a great knife and well built. Got one for me and one for the wife.

I now carry it everyday. It is a great knife. Like the Milwaukee fastback but more compact. Thanks for watching!

Mine has a faulty blade locking thing?? I flicked out the blade to use it once, and it shot out, and almost damaged my equipment, and very easily could have seriously harmed someone. I've since switched back to my daily driver... But I agree with you on all the points about the quality besides that. I miss it, actually. Quite a bit. Might just buy another one to see if it's better...

Got to ensure the set screw is secure. My U1 works better with workpro razor blades. Not sure if that’s the case with all U1 knives. Thanks for watching!

Lol. That's funny, you take off the pocket clips too; I do it as well: it's uncomfortable and changes the dimensions. Drop them right into my back pocket, I'm oldschool: I suppose.

The clip getting hooked on something while clipped on your pocket, that’s a good way to lose a knife… plus it scratches up a lot of stuff… no different than a belt buckle. Thanks for watching! 👍

I have that ordered and I'm looking forward to it arriving even more after watching your video. One thing though about the paracord. Does it go through the hole on the clip? It looks like there's a lanyard hole on the backspacer in between the 2 scales.

I was wondering who would catch my mistake :) Yes it has a dedicated lanyard location. I think olight shows a picture of the lanyard attached on their website. It is a great knife. Thanks for posting and thanks for watching! 👍

@@projectpinehillsThat's a bit of a problem with all of my utility knives. You think they could standardize the blade dimensions but I guess it helps them sell blade replacements. 😳 I like these mini utility knives for EDC but my favorite razor knives are definitely my Fiskars utility knives and snap off knives. Super smooth and they feel really well put together

if people buy it massively then only for 2 major reasons they aren't aware of: dealer availability of a big brand OLIGHT, and very low price. it's easy then to talk oneself into liking it, even if it's not likable. not really hehe.
