4:50 correction. Either paddle can do momentary or constant beam depending on how u press the button on the PL-2.
@Gamble91105 жыл бұрын
TexanMarksman correct! How did he not realize that...??? I don’t consider the pressure paddle switch system a draw back at all. They are nice and tactile with an audible click so you have a troubleshoot point if you press and get nothing. If it clicks and no light... no question as to wether or not it made full contact. Absolutely love the light!!
@bigaarmory1007 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure that you can go wrong with either of the lights however I do have the Olight PL-2 and have no complaints about it whatsoever. For me the brighter the better, brighter beam for surveying your property or brighter beam for blinding and disorienting an intruder in your home prior to you using your gun for it’s intended purpose.

I don’t see how it makes a difference. If you have the light on someone already can determine your position and if they are in front of the beam they can’t see it. And if your that worried just use black marker on it.

Been using Streamlight in the Fire/Rescue industry for years but I carry Olight daily (SR bator and Warrior now). I'm going to upgrade to a TLR7 on my G19 (the shape/size is perfect, I can't stand the TLR-1 on a 19 as I carry IWB at ~0430) but I'm REALLY thinking of running one of these Valkyrie's on my recent 11.5" pistol build, Thanks for the review, even if you were a little obsessed with a cosmetic feature and kind of implying it was a "tactical" concern LOL. Still, a much appreciated review.
@trailertrashtactics5 жыл бұрын
Look into the olight pl mini 2 for your glock. The tlr7's buttons suck and they're so far ahead you really have to change your grip to make it work. Mini 2 has 100 more lumens and has nice lever/buttons like a tlr 1 hl. So the olight mini 2 is the best of both worlds. Plus its rechargeable! I'm replacing my tlr 7 with it. No brainer.
@swedeman58247 жыл бұрын
from what I understand streamlight does not recommend using a "tool" to tighten the light it only needs to be tightened finger tight due to the way the gun "latches" to the rail. I did have to use a "tool" to loosen it out of the box
@rezdog1876 жыл бұрын
Yeah maybe in a laboratory but in the real world tlr1 comes loose every time you don't use a tool to tighten so either fix it streamlight or you'll have to use a tool.

These are the two light I was thinking which one to buy! At the end I bought the streamlight trl1 hl! I was going to buy the Olight at first because it is 1200 lumen.The Olight get hot to quickly and I don't like how the way the Olight clapping on to the guns! From the videos the Olight is not that much more powerful than the streamlight.

Is there a way to swap the button functions? I mount my lights on top of my rifle and would prefer the constant-on button on the right side (so it'll be on the left when it's upside down).
@pronerider56265 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you know by now, But wither side will do constant on. It's just the amount of pressure you apply. A light hold will do momentary, A hard press will do constant on wither side.

My only question and I apologize if it's been answered already, But why wouldn't you trust it to go to war? I mean, It's bright, It's reliable, It has obviously held up to the abuse you put it through. So the only 2 things I can think of are the switch cap and the fact that (this is a big one for me personally) it takes 123s instead of something more standard like a AA. I'd rather squeeze 3 AA's into it than 2 123's. Just because of the obvious fact that AA can be found everywhere. But other than that, Watcha got? I want to learn something. I just picked one up from my coworker, But don't have (2) 123's. Shitload of AA though. 😂 So I have to order the batteries. Subbed btw. Great video!
