I think MT1A Pro is the go-to lights. The AA battery factor while producing high output is not easy to beat by other types. Thus, you can put it at your emergency bag, and easily swap out or scavenge AA batteries at disaster situation. It’s even waterproof. I hope they can make more of that type with innovative ideas.

Years ago before, I first got to know about Nitecore when I noticed the Tube Keychain Light winning the Carryology EDC category award. I purchased that Tube and later added other useful Nitecore light and powerbank products to my kit. Totally got me as a keen fan. Always awesome products that's well thought out. Surprised to see so many new releases and product refresh in 2024. I especially like the USB-C charging interface - which I know will help me reduce the types of USB cables that I carry when I work-travel. However, the key challenge is to justify to the Missus about upgrading my EDCs while the previous good quality Nitecores are working fine. :-) Let's see if I too can be innovative in my "why upgrade leh?" conversational reasoning while maintaining a Happy Life! ;-)

My MT2C Pro has VERY quickly become my favorite light I own. I live out in the country and have a lot of property and i carry it every single day. I love how simple it is and it defaults automatically to max output as soon as i turn it on. If i need low mode i can quickly half-tap then full click for working up close or for longer runtime. sometimes i think a middle brightness mode would have been nice, but then it would also be another mode to try and cycle through quickly. I have multiple friends who are in law enforcement and they also love how simple and quick to use the light is along with the output. It's very close to the modlite OKW in terms of candela with more lumens as an addition and it's about 20% the price of the modlite. Im giving multiple of these as christmas gifts to family members this year because its a fantastic light for someone who needs a high quality and high performance light but doesn't care about having tons of different modes to switch through. It's fantastic for military, law enforcement, security, or civilian use for anyone who needs to be able to see pretty far at night with any amount of regularity. It's small enough for most people to carry comfortably, has fantastic output for its size, and is extremely simple and intuitive to use so it doesnt have really any learning curve at all, its just "grab and go" for the vast majority of people that have ever used any kind of flashlight before.

When EDC29 is released, I knew I have to get it for EDC use due to it's flat design and ease of use, espcially the physical lock button. While I was checking the review and research more on EDC29, Nitecore announced EDC23 with smaller form factor and the size it totally for EDC and perfect size to carry in the pocket. Without second thought, i straight away placed the order to my usual shop before it launch. I've been carrying EDC23 for all occasion including hiking and camping. Now, this is the only flashlight i carry without fail. Nicely done Nitecore.

I got an EDC23 after watching your videos on the EDC flat lights. I do think that any light marketed for every day carry should be waterproof to some extent otherwise it cannot be truly relied upon for things like travelling. Battery life readout is great and the small form factor makes it the best light of 2024 for me. I couldn't choose a "worst" light. Would love to add an EDC29 to my rotation. Keep up the good reviews!

The MT1A Pro is an excellent flashlight, combining portability with durability. Its compact design, removable battery, and waterproofing make it a reliable companion for both everyday use and outdoor adventures. The ergonomic grip is a nice touch, ensuring comfort during extended use. To make it even better, adding a wider beam option or improved throw distance could cater to users who need more lighting versatility. A battery level indicator would also be helpful to avoid unexpected power loss. Overall, it’s a well-designed flashlight that could benefit from a few added features.

It is very impressive to see a company admitting flaws in it's own products. I think the EDC35 is the closest I have ever seen to a perfect tactical light. I would like more run time on turbo if possible but I love the material used, the knurling, the 3mm glass and the capacity. Please keep developing in this direction. One thing is that I preferred the Nitecore holster available separately to have come with it (the NTH20), but it was available at low cost here in the UK. Sorry to mention a competitor but my favourite two brands are yourselves and Acebeam. My other favourite light, along with the EDC35 is the Acebeam E70 Mini. Again almost perfect, but I would like a 21700 version with 519A emitters.

I have the older model of the NU25 and the TIP SE. I use the NU25 headlamp for outdoor activities and keep the TIP SE on my keychain at all times. It’s proven extremely useful especially when looking for things in the car. Would really love to try out a beefier EDC light with some brightness for those long night walks and spontaneous treks that can also be carried for self defence as a blinding/stunning tool. Certainly hope to be able to try out the EDC29. Idk how bright 6500lm, but I’m certainly sure it’ll do some damage to my neighbours when I test its throw.

I purchased the MT1A Pro and loved it so much. I purchased another one for my son as a Christmas present. Is it the brightest light, no. Is it the longest battery, no. It is however the absolute best you can get for that size for that price. Hands down. No questions asked. I also recently got the EDC 23 and I have to say somehow it surpassed the MT1A Pro. I'm putting it through its paces and it has yet to fail me. Well done guys!

Believe it or not, my favorite and least favorite light is the MT2C pro, let me explain: Because I run in the evening and in the woods, it gets really dark even with my NU25 headlamp. I needed a good thrower so I first bought the MH12 pro. The MH12 Pro is a great light that I still enjoy using but it is a bit too heavy for long runs and I really don't need all of that battery/run time. So I also bought the MT2C pro. It was perfect for my run, the turbo is bright and long enough that I can see the end of my trail from far away. The mode is simple, one click and it goes turbo (this will also be why it is my least favorite light too), and the size is perfect to carry on my run. But outside my run the MT2C pro is my least favorite light, because, yes it is a good thrower, it is quite difficult to use close up or semi long distance because the spot light is so bright and sharp. The low mode is only useful when it is pitch dark and the light has no medium setting. The one click to turbo also gives me trouble when I want to use the low mode (have to quickly change to low to avoid blinding myself). So outside my runs I tend to pick up my MH12 pro for regular uses. In my opinion, the MT2C pro is a great light for a very specific use case such as for me going on runs. It is not a versatile light but it does the job what it is meant do very well which is to throw at a somewhat compact size.

I would say if we are talking about EDC lights, the EDC23 and EDC29 will be the best lights that Nitecore has launched so far. The display really changed the game on how we use flash lights in operations. It is a feature that you did not think that you will need it at first but once you have tried it, you may not go back to traditional lights without led displays again. I own a T4K and it really blew my mind on how useful the display work to show me real time information of the status of the light. Maybe will consider getting a EDC23 or EDC29 soon!
