Olight Sphere - What An Ingenious Design!

After literal years of use of the Olight OBulb MCs, I am quite excited to find out about the new Sphere. This is APP controlled, more sequencing available for the LEDs and a full poly shell. What's not to love!?

The first thing I thought of was throwing it into a dark room so you can see whatever danger is inside the room without illuminating your position too much. Then you can shoot what danger you see. Although it might be too fragile for that.

This little thing is awesome. Kids have been playing with it non-stop. I'm gonna have to buy a few more cause they're fighting over the thing. Makes a cool nighttime pool toy and my youngest daughter has claimed it as her personal bedtime nightlight.

I couldn’t figure out how to shut it off. I shut it off last night but I didn’t remember how. I guess I’m a bit impatient and didn’t wait 2 seconds for it to go off. Thanks for your video. I’ll have to try the music next.

Like in groups or to the phone? Groups are done in app. Triple click enters pairing mode(should start flashing green)

Yes, AND you can push the magnetic charger to cycle modes on the Sphere when it is charging. ( it just sits funny having the charger under it)

Shout out to the algorithm for bringing me here Perfect because here in northeast Ohio, we now have been getting tornadoes and rough weather, and this seems amazing for emergencies! And for that price??? Picking one up and sliding you a sub!

Trying to find the diff between it and thr obulb pro

One difference is this Shere has an outer shell which because it is not up against the light, shows light scratches. Honestly, if the pro does the same thing ( which I don't know ), the only reason to get the Sphere (again I don't know difference in runtimes, candella, and colors on the Pro) would be to shine the table surface more as the bottom half now lights up. At a higher cost for the Pro it must do some things better.

I suppose I’m wondering why the second layer, why not make the bit that lights up be the exterior like the obulb? Why the transparent second layer if it’s not needed?

Because it is a clear layer not right upto the light, it shows scratches. It is not soft to easilly get scratches, I just see on on mine and it fell from my arm rest of my chair to the carpet hitting a plate. If it was not on this outerlayer, it probably would not be recgonized. It isn't bad I have to look for it.

I will never understand why companies keep lying to the people about free when we pay for the Shipping and handling. No matter how you call it, 5.00 shipping is not free. I get it, it's a good deal for 5.00. not free though.

I actually ordered some with different olight accounts, at $10 deal iron status accounts. I wasn't charged shipping, Found out a new account gets first order free shipping, and another order I placed, the Credit Card used wasn't working, olight sent me an order link to pay (using same CC) but didn't charge shipping, So I'm told. : / Soon as you make a payment normally, there is a summery that shows USPS $0.00 but came to $15.xx on one $10 sphere (that did charge shipping), it is weird. I got charged on that order, but te paperwork showed I had Shipping (USPS) $0.00
