I really enjoyed this video, thank you! lovely images and i have to say the pentax still packs a punch. the grain is so nice on those 35mm shots. have you ever considered doing a video on your method of metering and how you rate your film? and perhaps what post work you do on your film scans (if any?) thanks again for the great channel you have.

Tank you, I have thought about it, i felt that those image might have been a bit grainy, the film was Portra 160 so should i think be finer. but I'm more of a medium format fan so its hard to compare

@@olitography I have to say man, you may be more of a medium format fan, but you knock it out of the park in all the formats! I really liked your Japan videos. I went to that first camera store you went to while I was on the hunt for a Pentax 67 in Tokyo!

Brilliant video! Same thing happened to me. New roll of film in an untested camera, worked great for 12 photos and froze up. Thank goodness I had a spare camera with me. I completely know the feeling! Always great content!

The innate hostility of inanimate objects, eh? Still you won through - very cool gangster images.

id like to say there are no anger management issues, but every object is the sum of the choices made by its creators, in the Nikons case its compromise of high end features in a low end package, something has to give somwhere.

With driving an old Jag it is a wonder that it is the camera that breaks instead of the car. Old cameras can sometimes be unreliable, but old Jaguars are synonymous with unreliability.

My Pentax Spotamatic, istDL,K100D, K70 & K3-11 have never failed me two use four AA batteries easy to find and use . The Spotamatic light meter does not work so I use a Minolta hand held light meter . One of my favorite lenses is the Takumar 50mm 1.4 great lens and I can use it on any of my Pentax cameras with the Pentax adapter ring.If film wasn't so expensive I would probably use it more but alas I have shot upwards of 2000 pictures on my latest trip to much for film

I guess it depends who’s paying for the film, glad you cameras are going strong

The sticking mirror thing on the Spotmatic (or SV come to that) is dead easy to resolve - just a little airbrush lube on a mechanism that sits on the camera bottom. Just remove the base plate, lube and done. There are plenty of You Tube vids on it. I've bought all my SVs and Spotmatics as 'stuck mirror' from folks who thing they're broken and price accordingly.

Do you shoot at M90? Id love to see how, as its an updated version of the FG (see link) www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/emfgfg20/fg20/spec.htm id love it if you could do a video reply, if you still can do that, it would be really helpful

@@olitography unfortunately I sold it a few months back! So I can't do that! But I really didn't use any batteries when shooting it!! I still have the contacts of the person who I sold it to, so maybe I can tell him to shoot a video of it!!
