I've just picked up a half box of these and I'm very much looking forward to trying them. I understand, of course, that taste is entirely subjective but for me, Nicaragua is now producing the best cigars in the world (that would always be heresy to some) with the likes of Oliva and Nick Melillo at Foundation right up there among the leading producers. There was a time, not so long ago, when you could confidently expect to be blasted in the face with pepper from a Nicaraguan cigar but often find little else in transition. Those days are long gone now and there is much variety and subtlety to be found. There are also a number of cigars which are beautifully crafted from a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican leaf, the La Gloria Cubana Serie R Maduro series being just one example, a fantastically flavoruful cigar!! And the price/quality ratio on all of these cigars remains insanely exceptional!! I only wish it was easier to get them to The UK without...well, you know what!

Couldn't agree more with you there - Nicaragua currently makes some of the best cigars in the world! All of those you've mentioned are great cigars, too, so you've got an experienced palate without a doubt. I've not experienced it myself, but Paul Anthony has definitely mentioned the issue with getting cigars in the UK, and the outrageous prices you encounter in cities like London. Rafael

I believe that CP was referring to Bassett's Liquorice Allsorts, which is a British confectionary from Sheffield. Of course, it would go well with other liquorice-based sweets, too!
