Hey Ross, I don't really like the heat myself, but I will take it over the cold any day. I hate working with gloves, and 5 layers of clothes to stay warm. Shade and air movement are great medicine for hot weather. I have a few old furnace blowers on carts for the breeze. And my old non cab tractors I have umbrellas on for shade. But the older I get, the less I like extreme temps, hot or cold! Wait until you're my age Ross! 😂

Agree with hot weather. It is easier to shovel the sunshine than snow. And it is easier to cool down than hear up.

I kind of agree with that. I don’t like working with gloves and coats on, so I complain about that in the winter, and then in the summer I complain about it being too hot. 🤣

A squirrel cage fan from a heating furnace works great I do pig roast and chicken roast and that's all I have is my fan and it works awesome

Been there done that with the help of the old man when I was in my early teens on our 1800 checker board model,it looked similar and we had to replace the pins,it just quick working at the times you needed it and used it the most,plowing if I remember ,we also had a milk shake of a sort mixed in the oil due to the sweating of the cast iron in the early spring and fall when the temps would radically change quit quickly,we change it quit often after he saw that going on from there on

I’ve had to do this a few times on some different ones. Several times on the 4-180. Since that one is cable controlled you can’t physically feel if something is binding.

I hear what you're saying about the heat, don't like working in those conditions either. I was telling my wife the other day when it's in the mid 90's and higher it's worse than being in the freezing weather. You can get warmed up and go back at it, in the heat you can't get cool enough and it takes all your energy. Congrats on getting it back together and working right. Have a wonderful day, I hope you can stay cool enough, probably not going to happen right?

People don't understand what I mean but the past 3 summers of feels like a different kind of heat. I live in southern West Virginia and the humidity is just miserable now days. You can always put on more clothes in the winter but you can only take so many off in the summer.

I’m wandering,,, what gos, on my IH 3514 backhoe,together 3 point working ,well I’m saying when I take the backhoe off , the 3 point arms are back there, but I’m wandering if I will need to put a 3point level action handle, ??? New York City has a famous street person, the naked cowboy, who makes a living just wearing underwear and strumming his guitar. Beat the heat, take a tip from the Naked Cowboy, and only wear your underwear while fixing Oliver equipment. On second thought, stay dressed and sweat all of those toxins out of your system. Just remember, you could be having to crawl inside a combine to repair damage while wheat cutting is happening, or having to ride on the back of a baler in the hopes you can see the problem with the knotter. Summertime is the time that the famous bikini birds show up on the beaches. Wish you a good bird hunting season.
