It does. I'm also a tone and frequency guy. Meaning, I believe certain tones, melodies, and frequencies induce our emotion. @jmerwin17 I think that they have more similarities than that. What Tamara out to you as being most different?

I think Oliver Anthony is more rough. Nolan has a smoother voice. The Nolan guitar is standard tuning. Oliver drop tunes to get more twang out of his already different sounding gretsch (could be wrong on the brand. Don't want to check. Lol). Oliver writes his songs with small verses and catchy chorus. Nolan seems to write more of a story. The chorus is secondary. All this being said, I love both of their music. Speaks to my soul. I don't think competition is the right word because I will be listening to both of them but only when I'm in the mood for one or the other. I'm not going to say I want to listen to backwoods country and then not be able to choose. Just my $0.02.

Nolan doesn't have competition from Oliver Anthony. He can actually write a song with quality lyrics and gain fans without the Daily Wire propping him up. The saddest thing that happened to him was Anthony's music being inflated by hacks and drowning him out when he should have blown up.

Though I see what you're trying to say, I disagree with the part about Daily Wire or "hacks" being the only ones propping him up which gave him the fame.
